What have you gained if you get rid of Cruz? Trump is now damaged goods. I sure won’t vote for him, neither will any of my 10 plus local relatives....they’ve had it with Trump....we just won’t vote. Not to mention Trump has turned off millions with his childishness. There is NOTHING presidential about him.

Think Ronald Reagan...he brought dignity and honor to the office. I was in the crowd at his inauguration and I was just as proud of him the day he took office as the day he stepped down. Is Trump someone you can be proud of?

Cruz served one purpose and one only. It was to depress the Trump delegate count. If you don’t know that by now, there is no hope for you. Go to NR and post there.

Sounds like numerous news sources had this story. Do you think they should have buried it?

Apparently I could be more proud of Trump than a lying serial adulterer who pretends to be pious.

I've already got this played out. Here's what you're missing.

Trump expresses deep sorrow for Ted. He becomes the unifier, healer, and savior of the Republican Party. He cuts a deal to put John Kasich on the ticket, which I think he plans to do anyway. The primary is over. They barnstorm the country together... maybe they even drag Rubio along... on a Unity Tour.

One night, Megyn Kelly strongly admonishes a guest who "goes too far" in attacking Trump unfairly. Trump calls in live to her show the next night, and thanks her for her fairness and invites her to Mar-a-lago for a live tour and interview in two nights. The upcoming special dominates media coverage for 48 hours.

At the interview and tour, he's charming, she's "tough but fair" and they make up. Melania is so pleased, she hugs and kisses Megyn on the cheek. The special is a national sensation, scoring the highest ratings in a decade. Megyn Kelly becomes the Woman Who Reached Donald Trump... just like in a Harlequin Romance Novel. His ratings among women soar, because he's just like their husbands... rough around the edges but capable of amazing goodness when a good woman has the helm.

You're thinking of this election as 1980's style politics. It's not. It's a reality show with really big stakes. And Trump is better at it than anyone else by a country mile.

Reagan memories...

So no, Reagan was NOT always presidential, he knew when to take control. Trump does the same, and while these personal attacks are distracting, he has proven during this primary cycle that he can be presidential when he needs to be.

They get amnesty, one way or another. That is the whole game, along with open borders but that’s the same thing really.

I wonder, do you read much or just get busy posting to see yourself in print? It appears you are immune to some facts about what is really happening here.

As for Trump being damaged goods - seems I’ve been hearing that for 6-7-8 months now. It’s almost comical at this point.

Fine. If Trump is the nominee, you and your family stand your ground and don’t vote for him.

Then, when Hillary gets elected and millions of illegal aliens from Mexico and Central America stampede across the Rio Grande and turn Texas into a crime-ridden, disease-ridden hell hole, do not complain.

Plus, all the millions of illegals that are already in Texas will be given amnesty by the evil witch and her GOPe collaborators and they will turn the Lone Star State as blue as a smurf.

I know what I’m talking about. Ronald Reagan and his amnesty (which he later regretted), along with the open border policies of Bush 41 and 43, along with Billy Clinton and Obama, turned my former home state of California from a paradise to a place with endless problems due to illegal immigration.

I would vote for Trump or Cruz if they get the nomination.
