That looks like fun. Not the severed leg part, the boom part. When in doubt, get the hell back or behind something besides a sapling.

When I was a kid, I used to shoot at a Coke can until it was hopping around. I think that makes more sense.

Offhand I would have thought being 75 feet away was enough. He was unlucky because a good size piece of shrapnel headed right towards his leg. Maybe part of the lawnmower blade? He lost one leg below the knee.

Yep. Soon we will have to separate the white prills from our bags of 20-20-20 and take the Al powder from our etch-a-sketches just to make a good bang.

Nobody who has ever cut steel with explosives would think that even 100 yards was safe. Shrapnel travels for miles.

LOL, I know that’s true because I was born a Yankee, but have lived in the south for 40 years now.

We have a yearly family get together that always includes tannerite. We put it out at 100 yards and shoot from inside the shed. We still hear parts landing on the roof. However, we don’t allow beer to be consumed during these scientific experiments.

Good story, stick to it. Admit nothing. Ever.

He lost one leg below the knee. I am surprised they could not reattach it. Medical science has become quite good at that nowadays.
I feel for the guy. He was just incredibly unlucky. With 360 degrees that thing could have gone, it was an amazing stroke of bad luck that it picked that tiny little spot where he was standing.
