A pair of new polls are showing good news for presidential hopeful Ted Cruz.
In a new Fox News poll of 388 likely GOP primary voters, frontrunner Donald Trump and Texas Senator Ted Cruz are now in a statistical dead heat nationally. The poll shows Trump and Cruz polling at 41%-38% respectively, a slight edge for the real estate mogul, but within the poll's +/- 5 point margin of error. Governor John Kasich is running in third place with 17%.
A second poll, this one from Emerson College, is spelling good news for Ted Cruz in the April 5th, winner-take-all Wisconsin primary and in a hypothetical match-up against Hillary Clinton in the general election. Emerson College reports:
Ted Cruz is not only leading Trump 36% to 35% in the upcoming primary, but Cruz is only trailing Hillary Clinton by one point in a hypothetical general election matchup, 46% to 45%. In contrast, Trump is trailing both Clinton and her Democratic rival, Bernie Sanders, by the same 9-point margin of 47% to 38% in a potential general election match-up.
The Emerson College poll also shows Ohio Governor John Kasich rounds out the GOP field with 19% of the vote.
The news could be an indication that anti-Trump Republicans are beginning to consolidate around the Texas Senator.
And other polls have Trump up by seventeen points.
These pollsters are either all clueless, or all have paid-for agendas.

Lol don’t forget Cruz was surging right before he lost 5 3/15 states, he was “poised for an upset in Arizona” too.
Cruz bots never let facts and resultsmstop them - they just slither on to the next delusion.

It is called sampling. Associated with sampling is sampling error, so there is the possibility that true views fall outside those found in the sample.

Trump won’t slut shame Mrs Cruz.
He’ll tell the truth about her and expose who she really is.
That’s why so many people want to stop him.
They’re afraid of being exposed for what they really are.
Two other polls conducted at the same time show Trump up (9% and 14%. RCP average is Trump up almost 13%. Fox is outlyin’ again.

If you are referring to the recent incidents re: the wives, you are wrong. Cruz did not post that photo of Mrs. Trump; a PAC did. Candidates generally have little to no control; over what a PAC does (and more than one candidate has been embarrassed by what a PAC did “in their behalf”).
Trump personally tweeted the “comparison” between the wives. Trump came off as a school kid; it was quite unseemly for a grown man seeking the presidency to do.
Over the past month I have gone from Cruz to Trump to undecided between the two. What I do know is this school yard idiocy is making both men look foolish, and that only benefits Hillary Clinton.
Grow up, guys. Don’t blow this golden opportunity to shake up the GOP and re-brand it into something we can all be proud of, and defeat the Dims in November.
