A pair of new polls are showing good news for presidential hopeful Ted Cruz.
In a new Fox News poll of 388 likely GOP primary voters, frontrunner Donald Trump and Texas Senator Ted Cruz are now in a statistical dead heat nationally. The poll shows Trump and Cruz polling at 41%-38% respectively, a slight edge for the real estate mogul, but within the poll's +/- 5 point margin of error. Governor John Kasich is running in third place with 17%.
A second poll, this one from Emerson College, is spelling good news for Ted Cruz in the April 5th, winner-take-all Wisconsin primary and in a hypothetical match-up against Hillary Clinton in the general election. Emerson College reports:
Ted Cruz is not only leading Trump 36% to 35% in the upcoming primary, but Cruz is only trailing Hillary Clinton by one point in a hypothetical general election matchup, 46% to 45%. In contrast, Trump is trailing both Clinton and her Democratic rival, Bernie Sanders, by the same 9-point margin of 47% to 38% in a potential general election match-up.
The Emerson College poll also shows Ohio Governor John Kasich rounds out the GOP field with 19% of the vote.
The news could be an indication that anti-Trump Republicans are beginning to consolidate around the Texas Senator.
Make America Awesome PAC is working for Hillary — Trump is their worst nightmare. We are being played.
It is against federal law for a candidate to involve himself with any Super Pacs.
A candidate CANNOT direct a Super Pac.
So, for Ted to tell the Super Pac what to do or not do IS AGAINST FEDERAL LAW.
Again, it was an anti-Trump Super Pac unrelated to Ted Cruz who did the ad.
they are cruz........
likewise, you are Cruz
you are them
You admit you are a democrat?
Simple and has been for a while, the next Prez is gonna be Trump or Hillary.
But he won't have as many delegates as Trump, and he won't get to 1237. Donald Trump will get there.
Ted Cruz's campaign is doomed, because if he doesn't gain momentum, he won't win, and if he does, he still won't win, because he'll come under much more direct scrutiny and attack, and will wither.
There's a long time to go before the convention, ladies and gentlemen. At some point, the Left and the media will be looking to weaken and damage Ted Cruz as well.
We already know that, at the convention, the Establishment will go "off the board" and install somebody like Ryan, Bush, or Romney as the nominee, casting Ted Cruz aside like a used condom that has served its purpose.
If Trump doesn't get to 1237 (and Cruz won't either, which we already know), convention shenanigans will happen: the entire anti-DC-Establishment "Revolution" will be betrayed and abandoned in lieu of Ryan, Bush or Romney at the top of the ticket, and Ted Cruz will be standing there with his jaw on the ground and not even a VP booby prize, not realizing until that very instant that he has sold out the entire movement, not just one candidate.
And then comes Hillary...
Cruz reminds me of the kid on the playground who come up behind you and rabbit-punched you, then when you saw he was laughing, ran to hide behind the skirts of the teacher serving as playground monitor and complained—as you run up to pound him: “He’s a bad boy bullying me!”
It’s not surprising but really despicable and a new low for him, and his sheep here actually repeat the story with feigned umbrage.
What a joke. 388 voters. That poll is garbage. It is contrived to push cruz. Cruz has ZERO chance of beating Trump. Ziltch.
This is like thwe german generals who said”I did not know what my men were doing”. Cruz ,we know, is a bad liar. He attacked Trump’s wife and he looks real bad. No body falls for this lying denial. No body.
When you are ‘just sayin’ stuff, it alway still a good idea to just say true stuff instead of parrotting Trumpist lies.
These people are all bad jokes.
They can only be hoping for a brokered convention. No sane person concludes he’s gonna pull 91% from here on out.
And at the brokered convention, the GOP Establishment will rig it for Hillary. Just like they tried with $100 million-dollar Jebby.
Non eligible, not Natural Born Citizen, Cuban-Canadian, Pinocchio Ted attacking Big Donald at CNN freestyle match.
Cruz "character":
1. Phony summonses mailed out, scaring people to vote for Cruz.
2. Claiming Carson quit, presinc captains told voters "vote for Cruz"
3. Campaigning in the 800 churches, showing video "vote for me" with his preacher/father stomping for him. Rafael Cruz is a Seven Mountain Dominionist and believes his son is the anointed one.
4. "Brilliant" lawyer, did not know he was Canadian citizen and that he is not Natural Born Citizen, not eligible for office of P or VP.
5. Making phony video advertising with lies about opponents.
Just enough to beat Trump in IA, apologize, rinse and repeat?
Liar is the polite term for this Cuban. His father was pro-communist in Cuba, imprisoned by Batista, but now he is refugee?
IRREFUTABLE AUTHORITY HAS SPOKEN
(Oct. 18, 2009) The Post & Email has in several articles mentioned that the Supreme Court of the United States has given the definition of what a "natural born citizen" is. Since being a natural born citizen is an objective qualification and requirement of office for the U.S. President (and VP), it is important for all U.S. Citizens to understand what this term means.

That's fine if you think that, but that doesn't mean we should be making ad hominem attacks against fellow FReepers.
And this is coming from someone that's backing Trump, but would be happy with Cruz as the nominee. Cruz is not the establishment. He's the establishment's last hope because they know they are out of power with Trump as a nominee.
Huge difference.
Cruz's conservative ratings are off the charts as far as Washington Republicans go.
I like your tagline. I practice that in real life, not so much on the internet. ;>)
I hear ya. I have about three good stories. The first of which, I was the recipient of strangers helping.
Wrong again ...Cruz’s allies attacked Trump, but Ted gave the go ahead , so yeah Cruz in effect did attack Trump’s wife ..
Yeah, they get their lowlife surrogates to do it.

So how much do Trump's people pay you? Whatever it is is too much. LOL
Excuse me, but the least, the very least, Ted Cruz could have and really should have done was at the time of the ads release to call Trumps campagin, then go on media and renounce the ad because families and loved ones are off limits. But Cruz didn’t do that; in fact he never condemned the ad to my knowledge until a reporter asked him. So you are right, Ted did not put out the ad. He also chose to act like pond scum about it. No I take that back; pond scum must have some redeeming qualities.
