DONALD TRUMP OPEN TO NUCLEAR RETALIATION AFTER BRUSSELS ATTACK

Reena Flores CBS News March 24, 2016 Donald Trump is not ruling out the use of nuclear weapons in the U.S. fight against the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), according to an interview with the GOP front-runner that aired on Bloomberg TV Wednesday.

Asked if he would consider nuclear retaliation after this week's terror attacks in Brussels, Trump responded: "Well, I'm never gonna rule anything out. And I wouldn't wanna say. Even if I felt -- it wasn't going -- I wouldn't wanna tell you that because, at a minimum, I want them to think maybe that we would use it."

"The fact is that we need unpredictability," Trump said of his openness to using nuclear weapons. "When you ask a question like that, it's a very - it is a very sad thing to have to answer it because the enemy is watching and I have a very good chance of winning. I frankly don't want the enemy to know how I'm thinking. But with that being said, I don't rule out anything."

When pressed on whether he would have utilized America's nuclear capabilities after September 11, Trump said that he would only have used it as a "last resort."

During his interview, Trump emphasized that terrorists "are winning" and "we don't do anything about it."

LBJ, using the assassinated-Saint-JFK sympathy vote, would have beaten Jesus Christ had Christ been the GOP nominee.

So Steelie, tell us the proper answer from Cruz, since this one scares you so much.

Can you imagine Cruz people like this in 1980?

You know what’s funny is that the New Left were the ones out in the streets hanging LBJ in effigy and rioting at the 1968 Convention. And Obama is their spawn.

IMO Lyndon Johnson was one of the most despicable characters ever to be President. Watching the likes of Bill Ayres attack him was like watching the Iran-Iraq War. But as bad as Johnson was he wasn’t a conscious enemy of the American people like the current POTUS.

Of course it’s a false headline, but that won’t stop the Cruzaders from going giddy over leftist MSM anti-Trump sensationalism. WE’VE GOT A NOMINEE TO BLOCK HERE.

So true. And there's plenty of Establishment water-carrying going on.

It's come down to this with the Trump-haters: no touting of Ted Cruz's great policies, no talking about his ostensible leadership qualities or qualifications for the office.

Nope. Just raw, hysterical clinging to the status quo. As long as their inferior candidate gets the nomination.

The Cruz campaign is not only in bed with the Establishment, but it's become the epitome of business-as-usual politics, replete with indiscriminate character assassination.

Good riddance. Ted Cruz won't be successful before the convention, during the convention, or after the convention.

Go, Trump Go!

The old “wouldn’t rule anything out” critique. I see you’re now recycling the “Daisy Girl” ad by LBJ. Classy.

Our military strategy should never rule anything out. Our House and Senate strategy should never rule anything out. That’s precisely how we got into this.

But keep recycling the 1964 garbage.

Ha! I remember that;

What does the OP suggest a commander in chief do?

Man I’m sick of pussyfooting around.

Look at what the GOPe is doing. First it was Bush then he dropped out. After Bush it was Carson, then he dropped out. Then it was Rubio, and he dropped out. Now it is Cruz. They are using Cruzz to stop Trump so THEY, the Gope, can insert their own candidate. Probably Ryan. Ted Cruz is being used and when they have finished using him, they will turn on him in a New York second!

the GOPe plans to lose to Hillary.

I’ll say it again. The GOPe plans to lose to Hillary.

And that is why they are gravitating to Cruz. By losing with Cruz as an opponent, the GOPe believes they will preserve the downline seats in Congress.

In the meantime, Trump is positing America as a nation of overwhelming strength, while reminding the slimeballs of the world who are working on dirty bombs, that the USA still retains nuclear options of our own.

Trump answered as he should have. The media is as much the enemy as is ISIS. Unpredictability is advantageous with either.

I don’t agree. I think his remarks like this are what keep him winning. He’s been non-PC all along and smoking the competition. I see it this way, if he is the R nominee, and still can’t beat Hillary, then the ‘anti-establishment’ candidate never had a chance to begin with. And we get 4/8 years of disaster. From the ashes we can rebuild.

Hmmm. I have to admit my visceral reaction to this was to become a flaming, hysterical Trump supporter. However intellectually I know Trump can’t be trusted to keep his word. Buuuut, the man went apesh*t when Rubio suggested he may have a small penis and completely went off the rails when it was suggested a promiscuous first lady may not be something Mormons want representing them. So it is certainly conceivable Trump could nuke somebody. Just who gets nuked I think depends on who pisses Trump the most first, after he gets into office. Will Texas get nuked?....Utah?....ISIS?....the Jews?

>> Great way to Beat Hillary <<

Too many things Mr. Trump has said seem virtually designed to help the Dhimmis win.

But if he isn't trying consciously to aid the Hilary campaign, then the only alternative explanation I can imagine is that he has some kind of mental or emotional defect, whereby he lacks the "filter between the brain and the mouth" that any great nation should expect of a serious leader.

“Yes, there are little nukes, but why? “

Because accuracy is the greatest determinate for a nuclear warhead, not size. The small, variable yield B61-12 warhead being the latest example.

And to date nobody has used one in anger. That isn’t the case for MOAB bombs.

Anyone with a lick of sense can see that. They already know we are not going to retaliate if they do something. I fear the next time will be much, much worse than 9-11. It is like criminals being afraid of gun owners. If they think their booty will get shot, they will think twice. Some of them at least. Some are just too dumb. Something else I fear. I think different areas will get hit at once and we are not prepared for anything. They fight down and dirty and we had better do the same. Guess I have read too many Johnstone’s books. We need a Ben Raines. People had better wake up.

“The B61-12 also has a low-yield. As noted above, the bomb has a maximum yield of 50 kilotons. However, this yield can be lowered as needed for any particular mission. In fact, the bomb’s explosive force can be reduced electronically through a dial-a-yield system.

“This combination of accuracy and low-yield make the B61-12 the most usable nuclear bomb in America’s arsenal. That’s because accuracy is the most important determinate of a nuclear weapon’s lethality (Yield of warhead^2/3/ CEP^2).

“As one scholar explains: “Making a weapon twice as accurate has the same effect on lethality as making the warhead eight times as powerful. Phrased another way, making the missile twice as precise would only require one-eighth the explosive power to maintain the same lethality.” Furthermore, radiological fallout operates according to Newton’s inverse square law.”
