On Wednesday during his radio program Rush Limbaugh responded to a caller claiming Ted Cruz is not an outsider and is “buddying up” with the establishment.
Limbaugh clarified to the caller that Cruz is not the hypocrite – the establishment is.

RUSH: I just saw there's a caller on line calling me delusional?
CALLER: I think, sadly, what you all fail to realize is that perpetually you're painting Ted Cruz as an outsider. He paints Ted Cruz as an outsider. The Tea Party tried to paint him as an outsider. Yet I'm gonna read you five names: Lindsey Graham, Mitt Romney, Jeb exclamation, exclamation, exclamation point, Bush, Nikki Haley. How much more insider can you get than this, okay?
RUSH: . . .This is the same stuff that happened with Reagan. I have to tell you, Clay, it's exact same stuff that happened with Reagan. They didn't like Reagan in '76. They didn't like Reagan in 1980. They tried to stop Reagan in both campaigns.
When Reagan won in 1980 they had no choice, and then when Reagan proved to be two landslides popular, all of those people that supposedly hated him couldn't wait to be standing next to him every time a photo was taken. They were the hypocrites, not Reagan. And Cruz is not the hypocrite here. What's he supposed to do, stand up and say, "Sorry, Governor Bush, but I don't believe you. I don't believe you really want me to win. So I would appreciate it if you would endorse someone --" is that what you want him to do Clay?

Well you are right but remember that Rush and all of these guys are really entertainers and the crazier things get the more popular their shows are. I’m not being jaded but it is the truth. They need to keep things stirred up so people continue to tune in.
No, it means that Rush can claim HE is right as he would do regardless.
Let’s just wait and see how things all work out and then we can determine who was “right”.

I only listened to 2 of the 3 half hour podcasts yesterday, but I did notice that the only audio clips Rush played were from Cruz and not Trump. It’s the same way he treats Apple...everything in life can be related to Apple, and when he has to mention “Sam Sung” he does it in a condescending way.
I have been gritting my teeth to listen to him lately, as I thought that he has always told me the truth since I started listening before his TV show. But lately the bias is overwhelming. I thought this caller kicked his ass if you can hear the whole thing

They are pumping Cruz’s name for a future run at this point. They know it’s over.

Senator Cruz went to DC and stood with 3 others in the Senate and fought the good Conservative fight.
Called both Majority leaders (dem and rep) out by their names not as "good friend" when they kept going to the till for more money for Obama.
Do your research and you will find where he is the only conservative in the race. All you have to do is look at what has been spent on the campaign thus far and see who is fiscally consevative.

He had several “anyone but Trump” (ABT) caller on without disputing them and seeming to tactfully agree with them....but I’ve noticed they alwas sound like there “little old church ladies” I’m wondering if it’s just coincidence or design
then right after one of these “ABT” little old church ladies today which I was so mad about
.. Rush ran a story about the GOPe ABT types that want Hillery or Cruz...and Rush seem to be clearly mocking them and seemingly backing Trump as a true outsider vs Cruz as the establishment pick
Rush is in the Cruz camp but is not an ABT and seems to be a little bit conflicted as I he get there’s a lot of things he likes about Trump ...Rush is not a Beck ABT nutcase
Rush is still trying tiptoe between both sides at this point... he’s not Burning Bridges I think his focus is the big picture general election... that you can’t destroy each other
Its important to me this year that the President be qualified and ready to pursue a reform agenda which Cruz has not demonstrated. He is controlled by his donors and now has bedded down with the GOPe/Bush dynasty. I’m also interested in a candidate who can win. A nominee that attracts less than 25% of the GOP electorate is not going to win the nomination much less a general election. Ted is not the guy.
Donald Trump has a reform agenda, is not controlled by anyone and has the broad appeal necessary to win the general election. He’s conservative enough.

I must say it’s a very entertaining show when the trumpbots can not bare to see some of the smartest and most talented people in the media view Cruz as a conservative.
I hope you’re right. Rush has always seemed so level-headed.
lol...Rush IS delusional. Everyone knows the establishment plan...play up Cruz to deny delegates to Trump and then screw them both at the convention. It has nothing to do with conservatism or Cruz except that Cruz can be bought.
