NEW YORK Texas Sen. Ted Cruz cr97% claimed that if nobody manages to earn the needed 1,237 delegates prior to the Republican National Convention, he will win the nomination one way or the other at the convention. Cruz rallied supporters at the Womens National Republican Club in midtown Manhattan Wednesday afternoon in an effort to win over New York voters. Although the Texas Republican received cheers for the shots he took at New York Democrats, he was later asked by reporters how he could possibly smooth over relations with Empire State residents after describing Donald Trump as having New York values at a debate last month.
Coming from New York, you all have seen first-hand the disasters that come from liberal democratic policies that are foisted on the people of New York. And Donald Trump over and over again has been supporting Andrew Cuomo and Hillary Clinton and Anthony Weiner and Eliot Spitzer and Charlie Rangel, Cruz told his supporters.
So next time you think about all the disastrous policies that have been foisted on the people of New York, you can thank Donald Trump for bankrolling those efforts, he said, later noting that the New York primary, a contest of 95 delegates, is a battleground state for him and that he plans to compete here vigorously.

Well i would rather have someone in office that considers the constitution as being SACRED!
All except that pesky NBC requirement to be POTUS, bet everything else is SACRED, right?

Six weeks ago I think that I probably would have selected Cruz as my #1 pick.
Today, I have trouble imagining any situation in which I could bring myself to vote for him.

Hey 'Dummy' yourself:
Hey dummy!
Even IF Cruz is a Dominionist and considers the Constitution a Divinely inspired document....
Well i would rather have someone in office that considers the constitution as being SACRED! Than the current resident who considers it a ROADBLOCK!
You can put aside that straw man argument, Obama isn't on the ballot this time.
If you think for one second that we need a President in the Oval Office that buys into the idea that he is 'annointed' by God to 'rule over society' and to 'transfer the wealth of the wicked to the righteous', you need to check out what it's like to live in Iran under a similar merging of state and religion.
Cruz, his preacher daddy, and Glenn Beck all believe that Cruz is 'chosen by God', but a funny thing happened on the way to having Teddy boy's head annointed with oil, on his way through South Carolina, he did not win even ONE county, in a state that was presented as being his natural base of evangelicals, they saw right through that fake-Texan fraud, and EVERY county went to Trump with the exception of 3 counties won by Marco Rubio.
You want to live under a theocracy?
Wait until King Jesus returns and does it right. Don't make the mistake of falling for the false teachings of the would-be Dominionist King Cruz.

I want to create a space on FR where we can choose not to engage in the tit for tat bashing. Sheesh. It reflects poorly on both sides when either engages in it.
Bashing is actually detracting from any campaign that engages in it at this point.
Really, all minds are made up. The only thing left is voting your preference, and letting history show us who won.
So everybody take a deep breath.
No vote has been changed due to an FR post in about 2 months.

Well this is the acid test for Dominionism.
Does he have Dominion?
If not, it’s going to be Trump.

So GGG, are you going to “help out,” and “off” Trump? Because that would be the only way for Cruze to “win” the nomination!

not a good way to bring voters who didnt vote for him together.
Triple-G isn't TRYING to "bring voters together", he's very likely a paid shill for the GOPe working overtime to drive voters APART with his cheerleader-like "Cruz 2016" naive teenager shouts and shrieks, he knows Cruz hasn't got a prayer (Dominionist, Mormon or otherwise) of being nominated, GGG is working for the GOPe.

Sorry for offending your Dear Leader. Kim Jung-un wants you to get in contact with him. He needs brain-dead idol worshippers like Trumpkins.

I am not fond of everything Trump does and he’s going to doubtless upset some applecarts that didn’t need to be upset.
Still. He looks like the closest thing to winning fair and square we’ve seen for a long time.
I agree about the huge theological hazard with Dominionism. The bible warns about several things attempted too soon that failed. No stupid, the Constitution couldn’t have been literally divinely inspired. Not with its allowance for chattel slavery. It still was a means of blessing in spite of that, but even this means has limits. It can’t transcend a people so willfully stupid as us.
IMHO triumph, if it happens, will have two prongs: competent secular government, and an independent evangelical blessing of God in the non-government sphere. Cruz thinking he automatically has the spiritual Midas touch is very dangerous! That’s probably why he is schmoozing with Mormons and GOPe.

I’m really confused as to how they think he will win 82% of the remaining delegates.
All of this “Go Cruz” cheering is completely worthless. He wont win that number. That leaves Trump as either getting the number of delegates or the clear leader in them.
To then think that the convention will veto the choice of the majority of the voters and just award it to Cruz, is loony at best.
