This year the primaries are not being run by the state so the state statutes that Still mentions here are not in effect. The rules for the Republican-run primaries are at the above site.

One more instance of Cruz falsely accused. I’m not expecting any apologies.

I will not stick around to field the rotten tomatoes, just wanted to post this in case somebody actually cares about the truth.

From the AP article at http://www.usnews.com/news/politics/articles/2016-03-21/q-a-utah-votes-tuesday-with-some-casting-ballots-online:

“HOW DO REPUBLICANS PARTICIPATE?

The Utah GOP caucuses are only open to Republicans, who can vote online, in-person at their neighborhood caucus meetings, or by filling out an absentee ballot and having another caucus-goer deliver it to a meeting, along with a copy of the voter’s ID. The evening meetings are typically open for about two hours. Republicans had to declare to the party by Thursday that they would participate by voting online. Once party officials verified their registration, voters were emailed a 30-digit PIN to enter when casting their vote. The online voting system is open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. local time on Tuesday”

I guess if it was wrong for Cruz to cite a CNN news report it must be wrong for him to cite the same information as an AP article too. /s

It’s troubling that Still’s source - whose credibility came from having worked with elections for many years - didn’t know or admit that this year was different than past years - especially since the differences were MAJOR and included on-line voting.

From your link:

“The Utah GOP caucuses are only open to Republicans, who can vote online, in-person at their neighborhood caucus meetings, or by filling out an absentee ballot and having another caucus-goer deliver it to a meeting, along with a copy of the voter’s ID.”

Does the above give you pause?

Do you not see the wide open door inviting those who would commit massive voter fraud without a moment’s second thought?

Do you not think the 50% threshold was targeted by every approach imaginable?

Do you not think the utterly corrupt Mormon Mafia that was so debased in 2012 for Romney pulled out all the stops on this one? They still exist, they haven’t gone away.
