That’s total B.S. Chamberlain had the slaughter of the first World War in his mind. What’s our excuse?

This is SO unfair to NEVILLE CHAMBERLAIN.
Don't forget that less than one year after stepping off his flight waving the paper from the Munich Agreement in triumph that he actually declared war on Hitler.

I hate her because she backed Romney. I hate her, I hate her, I hate her. She’s dead to me. And so is Rush for not backing Trump. He’s a tool for the New World Order. And the Bilderbergers. And Burger King. And so is Cruz. And everyone else who doesn’t back Trump.
There. I think I’ve covered all the bases.

And he had the prescience to ramp up funding for the RAF, developed the Spitfire and Hurricane and the Radar Defenses around England.

It's as if the government were dumping rats in our houses, and then, whenever someone died of the plague, those same government officials issued heartfelt condolences, Twitter lit up with sympathetic hashtags and the Times editorialized about effective rodent control, but no one ever bothered to say, Hey! Maybe the government should stop putting rats in our houses! Gonna remember that.

To: jjotto
True, but it was purely symbolic and both men knew it. Chamberlain's health declined rapidly and tendered his resignation from the post on September 22, 1940. He died on November 9.
Churchill valued Chamberlain as the soft and diplomatic voice of his party which, even after the fall of France and the Low Countries, was still struggling to get the opposition on board with the war effort. Incredibly, the leftwing opposition parties didn't get fully on board until Britain was subjected to intense bombing that summer.

You are correct.
But there’s no doubt Churchill and his fellow Conservatives respected him more than history has.
