I think Trump’s initial response to the Geller meeting in Garland is instructive. If you watch Trump’s first responses to issues and questions carefully, you will often see his secular humanist world view revealed. Then the “walk back” necessary to retain his angry supporters quickly comes.

Another example of a typical Trump liberal world view response: remember in that one debate when the topic of repealing Obamacare was raised, Trump’s reflexive response was that he was “not going to let people die in the streets”. Typical left wing/democrat talking point. Never mind that people are not currently dying in the streets anyway. The Trumpeters simply refuse to give the appropriate weight to the “red flags” that Trump is regularly giving us that he is in no way a conservative. I think I’ll go with Cruz, who has decades of fighting for conservative principles behind him.

==Now do you understand why we support Trump?

You don’t send in someone who has been part of the problem their whole adult life to go in and fix the problem without a record to back up their promises. Cruz has a lifetime 97%-100% Conservative/Pro-liberty voting record. Trumps entire record goes in the EXACT OPPOSITE DIRECTION.

” But non-citizen Muslims coming here is a HUGE problem.”

Yes, and on that I agree. We don’t have any idea how many since 2013. The Dept. of Homeland Security can’t give us numbers, and has no idea where many of them are…especially those who have overstayed visas. It is madness.

When, exactly has Trump been "part of the problem?"

He's never been in a position in elective office, compromising constantly with Democrats and working in concert with them to destroy our freedoms and liberties.

Trump's donations to Democrats were more about helping his city and state and his businesses than about endorsing their ideology.

Cruz has a lifetime 97%-100% Conservative/Pro-liberty voting record. Trumps entire record goes in the EXACT OPPOSITE DIRECTION.

I don't care about ACU or Conservative Review ratings. That's the thing you JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND about Trump's widespread support. America needs a bold and brash leader who will speak truth to power and who will put America first. Not some Senator who is not eligible for the Presidency playing off his conservative bona fides while simultaneously securing establishment, beltway support from within his own party.

Perhaps, but the old adage is true in so many communities in the States. Birds of a feather fly together. Usually, there are a great many communities, especially here in New York, where different groups live in the same neighborhood…commonality being a priority.

Trump blamed Pam Geller for the attacks in arland. Trump is very late to this party.

Cruz was fighting terrorism when Trump was banging Vegas cocktail waitresses two at a time...customers couldn’t get a drink at the tables.

law enforcement to step up their policing of Muslim neighborhoods in the U.S. in the wake of terrorist attacks in Brussels, comparing it to police boosting their presence in areas with known gang activity. He should call for the surveillance of mosques as well.

No, no, NO. That's all the same nervous chatter that's been coming from Europe every time the islamonuts let loose. Wiping out what's left of people's civil liberties on account of predatory cavemen is NOT the response. There's a simple 2 step plan that needs to be engaged by every civilized nation on earth - it's very simple 1) stop bringing cavemen into the country 2) evict the ones that are already in the country, and duly inform the more shady examples that they are personally greenlighted and will be summarily executed if seen again. Much better results in the long term for everyone.

Tis a profile in courage by Donald Trump /sarc

Trump sounded like a belligerent coward in attacking Pamela Geller: "Did she have to draw Mohammed"? "Couldn't she have drawn something else"? Trump may better at speaking to people's anger, but we need those who will come up with solutions or acceptable trade offs (to use a Thomas Sowell, ph.d phrase).

What you require is that Islam no longer be Islam.

What you would like is not possible. Those actions and behaviors are hardwired into the doctrine.

Yes, so it seems.

There was a recent speech you should read and reflect on by Andrew McCarthy, who was the U.S. Attorney who prosecuted the Blind Sheik in the wake of the 1993 World Trade Center attack. Are we dealing with the facts of what Islam is, or are we making up dreams of what we wish Islam to be, so we don’t have to make some really tough decisions?

Utterly lame.

Not one terrorist attack would have been stopped by patrol cruzers tooling around in muslim neighborhoods.

Well maybe one. Or two. But at what cost?

Once they are in the country you need electronic surveillance. You need undercover agents IF you’re lucky enough to know where to put them.

What kind of national security advisors is Cruz talking with? Bill Clinton?
