I used to listen to him but I got tired of his abusiveness to callers. I think he’s got a couple of screws loose. But I think he is smart, intuitive, and can be very funny especially with that Brooklyn accent.
The best Savage I’ve ever listened to by far was his live coverage of the debates around 2004 or so on the radio. He would interject his comments during the debates and he would get so upset that he would get up and you could hear him in the back of the studio saying things like, “I can’t take it anymore.” Best stuff on the radio at the time IMO. Nothing like it. He said what I felt.
Thanks for the link. I listened to Savage in the first hour and was hoping to find the Trump interview later. And here it is. Thanks.
Yes, Savage can be brutal on callers. Today a Middle Eastern sounding man said, “Can you condemn attacks when you occupy a country?” Savage paused and then went ballistic. “Sir, explain why the savages attacked Spain and France even though their sand pits were not occupied!?! Ignoramus!”
Funny. Good radio. It is true. Islam plays offense, not defense.
Also, Savage said he liked what Cruz said today about “carpet bombing” Raqua. I shall research that option.
I catch him sometimes when I am on the road going to a meeting. You’re right, the accent is a killer and seems to add to his brashness. Sometimes disagree, but often agree with him. I don’t mind passionate people...am so sick and tired of lilywhite politically correct pansies. just don’t listen to anyone regularly. I’d rather spend my time doing my own research.
I’m a big Savage fan. He’s smart and funny.
