I really don’t see how Cruz thinks this will benefit his campaign.

It seems that Cruz is just doing what even he needs to do for short term gain (ie embracing Mormanism in Utah). He doesn’t appear to be looking to win the nomination he’s just trying his best to deny trump from getting 1237.

Ted also tweeted out his thanks to Mitt Romney for his endorsement. I think I'm beginning to see a pattern here.
