Complete Headline: The Gloves Are Off: Trump Accuses Hillary Of Being "Involved In Corruption For Most Of Her Professional Life"
It's popcorn time.
Barely 24 hours after Trump launched his first Hillary attack ad in which he showed a laughing Putin respond to a barking Hillary, and shortly after Hillary's SuperPAC responded in kind with an ad of its own in which it used a Trump quote to mock him, the gloves are officially off, and now that both presidential candidates - both convinced they will face off against each other - are beyond the foreplay stage, the gloves have come off and the direct attacks are escalating rapidly.
So rapidly, in fact, that one may say Trump is risking a potential lawsuit with the following accusation (which, however, should not be too difficult to prove should one of Hillary's SuperPACs sue him for libel).
This is what Trump tweeted moments ago.
Hillary Clinton has been involved in corruption for most of her professional life!
Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 18, 2016
This is more than your typical political ad hominem - this is a material allegation with legal implications that goes to the core of Hillary's biggest weakness, her trustworthiness or complete lack thereof, and Trump's charges will only escalate from here on out, hopefully with actual examples. We look forward to Hillary's response.
One thing is certain: for the next six months, America will be entertained.
Truth is an absolute defense to slander.
“So rapidly, in fact, that one may say Trump is risking a potential lawsuit”
I don’t think Trump could pay Hillary enough to bring a lawsuit against him. It would be a DREAM COME TRUE - a chance for Trump to throw charge after charge at her, and make her deny them, one-by-one, under oath.
I’m thinking at this point that most of the Trump-bashers left are simply paid operatives of other campaigns, who know their only chance now is to block Trump from getting the nomination and thus have a brokered convention (i.e., handing it to Romney, Linda, or Jeb).
Even Cruz supporters understand this...and thus understand that Cruz will never get the nomination - either outright, and certainly not in a brokered convention. They know once Cruz lost the South, it was over for him...and very few true Cruz supporters here are allowing themselves to be used to further the cause of a brokered convention.
And don’t forget, there is a huge amount of money being spent, and much of it on ‘social media’, so it would be VERY SURPRISING if some of that is now being spent here.
Isn’t it different in legal terms to say that she has been “involved” in corruption vs saying that she is corrupt?
Bingo. And Trump has very, very good attorneys. Discovery would be worth the price of admission.
Tyler Durden’s right - it’s popcorn time...
Bob Dylan:
“Money doesn’t talk, it swears”
“” Even after the Wall is built, and illegal immigrants are as rare as hens teeth.”””
How will he force them to build a wall?
Trump has dispatched 14 GOP losers, none of which who could fix this country because that are part of the problem.
Especially Jeb.
That was a service to this country.
He intends to dispatch Hillary politically—and that would be a great and necessary service to the country, one that is long overdue.
None of our present political class has the balls to engage with her, let alone fight her.
Trump is not a member of the political class, and that is why he is not afraid of Hillary, and why the members of the political and punditry class on both sides are so afraid of him.
This happens once in a generation.
I was there the last time with Reagan, and I will do everything I can to be part of making it happen again.
Our children and grandchildren will have a much better future with Trump as President.
I think it should be illegal for anyone who has held public office to take speaking fees with in 2 years of running for public office and 10 years after leaving office, it should also be illegal to have book advances in excess of 10,000 dollars and an author that does not pay out enough royalties has return the advance they took
I wonder if Trump has a friend in the FBI or a mole in the PIAPS campaign and has been given a heads up of what is coming down on PIAPS?
By bringing this up as the email scandal to her past he is showing a pattern of deception and undermining her trustworthiness
If PIAPS responds then Trump can give examples going back to 1974 which throws her of message. If she refuses to answer questions then she looks guilty. She is in a no win situation.
A step farther. I bet Trump is already planning to tie PIAPS corruption to hurting minorities and women.
I think you are correct.
Everything about the Trump campaign has been first rate, and it is obvious Trump has some very, very smart people working for him.
And he is just getting started.
yep. This is bait.

HAH!
Which is why 2016 will NOT be like 2008 and 2012!
You forgot your /sarc tag...................
They use to hand you an envelope under the table
Well gee. Maybe Trump should change his name to Captain Obvious!
