Hillary Clinton: US has done a ‘really good job’ securing Arizona-Mexico border

PHOENIX — The United States has done a “really good job” of securing the border between Arizona and Mexico, Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton said in an exclusive interview Thursday.

“I think we’ve done a really good job securing the border,” she said. “I think that those who say we haven’t are not paying attention to what was done the last 15 years under President (George W.) Bush and President (Barack) Obama.”

Clinton said the federal government has added both border officers and obstructions, while the number of people attempting to cross the border has dropped.

“Immigration from Mexico has dropped considerably,” she said. ”It’s just not happening anymore.”

I visited the San Pedro valley which leads north from Mexico. a year and a half go. There were signs warning not to approach "strangers" if encountered.

Here in Farmers Branch (pioneering legislation against illegals since 2007) we had an unusual Halloween evening. At our place we had several groups of Hispanics including teenage boys. We tried to be friendly, pass out candy, and not offend anyone. Next morning I found two of our deck chairs missing from the front porch, and my truck in the driveway had been egged. The policeman who came to take the report about the chairs told me that among other things, probably two dozen cars had windows shot out. In 45 years of living here, I can't recall another Halloween like this. The Dallas Morning News and local TV news outlets have been playing up the "conflicts" ever since we voted for restrictions on renting to illegals by a 70% majority. Now I guess we are seeing Payback.
