Townhall ^ | May 15 2016 | Katie Pavlich

Early on in the 2016 presidential election when more than a dozen GOP candidates were in the race for the White House, nationally syndicated Salem radio host Hugh Hewitt predicted a nominee wouldn't be crowned during the primary process, but instead at an open convention.

Hugh is a GOPe layer for the establishment view.

Hugh continues to embarrass his loyal fans with his GOPe support of an open convention.

I used to like Hugh even with his over the top schtick on Ohio football teams...

It has become clear in the last years he has become a arrogant elitist know it all...

I listen to Bill Bennett in the morning going to work....

He has some of the best guests and most informative people on his show...

Yes, he is a RINO, but not a smarmy elitist one...

Hugh Hewitt is taking his time slot as Bill is moving in a different direction...

I guess, I'd listen to the wind blow...

at least Beck admits he’s all against Trump. I head Hewitt say “I’m just a neutral commentator here”.

That is what is great about America, you can defend Levin.

I can say he is a tool of the Gope!

We could probably have a beer or glass of wine together and agree on 85-95% of issues/topics and walk away as friends.

Thanks for your honest feedback.

Give it up, Hugh. Even Bill Bennett is conceding that Trump is probably gonna win this thing.

I can't comprehend how the math doesn't favor Trump on the first ballot.

Hewitt has officially gone mushy.

I’ve convinced my family to vote Trump in AZ.

So far it looks like 7 of us. Could go up.

Delusional.

If it did happen it would mean the end of the GOP Party.

If the GOPe does this.....why not simply end the whole primary elections and just ENDORSE HILLARY Clinton??? The net effect will be the same and they can save every one of their donors’ money!!

Hugh Hewitt honestly believes that there is no possibility that Trump can beat Hillary, as does Levin and so does Michael Medved. That is a large part of their consternation, even though it doesn't justify vilifying Trump, as Medved does endlessly.

With the polls being what they are so far, there is that case to be made. I'll admit the numbers scare the heck out of me, too.

Nope Trump will hav enough delegates. They ignore their own rules, or change them to deny voters wishes, ifmthey think so far it has been bad, thy don’t know how bad it will get for them.

“..Sen. Lindsey Graham will host a fundraiser on Monday in support of Sen. Ted Cruz”

Will it be held in a venue where lots of foam will be present?

Water is flowing great in N California.

We have more rains coming this weekend.

The French Drains which my kids and I put in over 30+ years ago are still working.

They are draining into an underground creek that only shows up during a wet winter.

Our older son, who is now a construction engineer, found the areas where to put the french drains during a respite of the 1977/78 frog drowning drought breaker.

They are still working well. He read up on drainage, studied French Drains, and we put his plans into action. Probably saved our house several times from severe damage.

Fortunately, our March rains were spread out. We got 9.5 inches this month so far.

All of our local drinking water lakes are overflowing.
