Even as a former motorcycle rider, I was turned off on snow machines early on.
While I was up skiing in the 60’s some 10 year old on a closed course, hit a tree, broke his leg, and killed his 7 yr. old brother.
Years later, friends were blazing along in not so open range and were decapitated after hitting an unseen barbed wire fence.
There’s more, and I have at least as many motorcycle horror stories, but at some point in life you decide some risks aren’t worth the thrill.
I’ll stick to Scuba diving.
Scuba is plenty risky itself.
All my prayers to the Palin family.
Since when is scuba diving a safe sport.
I still dive with my brother; I’m 67, he’s 68.
I still do underwater dredging and sport diving, but there is no way diving is a safe sport.
Had a very good childhood friend die while diving off the California coast in 1973, accidents happen everywhere.
Back in the mid 1980's I had a gal on my coed softball team whose husband was killed in a snowmobile accident several years prior..........
Watch out for the barracudas .. they’re very fast after shinny objects ...
I saw your comments on barbed wire, and that alone is why I am extremely careful when riding in the woods.
Barbed wire is a killer. I have had an uncle and a grand-uncle killed by barbed wire while riding tractors with bushhogs. Really scary stuff.
Don't forget to check your six.
