TIME TO DROP OUT? Ted Cruz Needs 87% of Remaining Delegates to Win Nomination

After Super Tuesday 2.0 Donald Trump is on track to secure the Republican nomination.

trump cruz 2

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) would need 87% of remaining primary voters to win the nomination.
It might be time for Ted Cruz to drop out and endorse Donald J. Trump?

The New York Times reported:

Donald J. Trump’s series of victories on Tuesday extended his delegate lead and forced Senator Marco Rubio of Florida out of the presidential race. Mr. Trump’s path to winning enough delegates to secure the Republican nomination is not assured, but he is in a strong position.

Here are some ways the Republican nominating contest could unfold. Try adjusting the sliders to see how the outcomes change. Each line in the chart represents one possible outcome.

If Mr. Trump maintains his current level of support in the remaining races, he would almost certainly secure the nomination.

After Tuesday’s contests, no other candidate retains a real chance of capturing the delegates required to win the nomination outright. Mr. Rubio dropped out, Gov. John Kasich of Ohio is too far behind, and Senator Ted Cruz of Texas would need to win the vast majority of the remaining delegates — a near impossibility.

Gimme a Pastrami sandwich and a Coke... And if there is not enough fat on the Pastrami, I’m going to riot!

Oh, sorry, I didn’t mean that. That’s just the way I talk about everything...

What I meant to say was that other people might riot. I am not going to lead it, but bad things might happen...

But I really didn’t mean that, either. That’s just the way I talk...

I’m a Republican voter and Ted Cruz is certainly not voiding MY will.

TRUMP IS.

Nominating Trump means President Clinton once again. In fact just about the only way Hillary can become President is by virtue of the Republicans nominating the jackassery candidate. Are we fools? Apparently many are.

Oh please! No one with half a brain believes every nebish on the Republican side beats Hillary EXCEPT Trump. He'll beat her with Reagan/Carter numbers.

Pride goeth before a fall.

They will still have their vote, but their will not be anyone left.

As long as Cruz is in the mix and Trump hasn't reached 1,237, they'll have their say.

Look, I know you want all others to capitulate... but you might heed the words of Yogi Berra: "It ain't over 'til it's over." If you're so supremely confident of Trump's eventual winning the nomination, just chill out and wait a couple more weeks.

I predict that when Donald Trump reaches 1237, Eric Ericson will draft Cruz to run third party.

And Cruz’s ego will convince him to do it, electing Hitlery.

And if Hitlery wins, he will blame Donald Trump.

I don’t want Trump or Cruz to win “by default”. Let’s have the election and if Trump gets a majority before the convention, then we can all support him. If he doesn’t, then he is going to have to make “A Deal” at the convention. Isn’t that what he is supposedly a expert at doing?

And you’re perfectly willing to chance denying him the 1237 which will spark an unprecedented revolt against the Republican nominee.

Yeah, tell me about the “process.”

And, I'm sure you're about to back that fantasy statement up with some survey data, right?

Read today Boehner, who has surfaced from his underground hole, supports Ryan as President. This is the end goal. The delegates are hard core GOP-E. Republican party leaders will do anything to deny Trump the nomination to put one of their men as nominee. They will even join with Soros, Democrats, Hillary, Sanders to destroy Trump. They don’t even care if it costs them the election and Hillary wins.

Just like with Romney when he through the Presidential race at the end.

I guess it safe to say you will be voting for Hillary?

No, since you are obviously a Trump supporter, that would be you.

Don't put words in my mouth, trumpette. I said let the process play out... 21 states haven't had their say yet. THAT is the "process."

There have been observations that Hillary will be Obama’s third term but that Trump will be Bill’s third term. That’s obviously over the top, but it is a reminder that bad things happen wehn people rely on the voting booth alone.

IF she wins, it won't be Trump's fault, it will be YOURS for supporting such an unelectable dog of a candidate.

At this point, survey data is about as useful as global warming stats.

What IS useful is perspective.
