Voters ousted the Chicago area's top prosecutor Tuesday, backing Democratic primary challenger Kim Foxx in a campaign dominated by questions about Cook County State's Attorney Anita Alvarez's handling of the shooting death of a black teenager at the hands of a white police officer.

Anita Alvarez is wholly incompetent. She ran her office in such a knee-jerk, sophomoric manner that it was embarrassing. She was hand picked for her position strictly on the basis of gender and ethnicity. That’s the Chicago way.
Kim Foxx, of course, is just as band as Anita Alvarez. Think the crime rate in Chicago is high now? In two years the pundits will look back upon 2016 in Chicago as “The Peaceful Year” or “The Quiet Year.”
I was around Chicago for the Bernard Epton debacle. Unfortunately, around there rhe only thing tge Republican candidate is good for is to provide a killer Scrabble word for those playing with house rules.
I also noticed that some Cook Co. countywide races have no republican candidates. I hope a Republican will run for recorder of deeds.
