Relatives of a 17-year-old are angry the teenager was shot and killed by a homeowner who police say was protecting her property.
The sister of the teen who died identified him as Trevon Johnson. She said he was a student at D.A. Dorsey Technical College.
I dont care if she have her gun license or any of that. That is way beyond the law way beyond, said Johnsons cousin Nautika Harris. He was not supposed to die like this. He had a future ahead of him. Trevon had goals he was a funny guy, very big on education, loved learning.
On Thursday, police say Johnson burglarized a home south of 79th Street near I-95 just blocks away from where he lives.

hahahaha I needed that laugh.
Believe it as its the hood mind set.
If it aint locked up and secured its fair game.
Not smart enough to just vote for Bernie...he'll be voting democrat now.
Not finny
As if you’d have to ask...
You have to look at it from every childs point of view that was raised in the hood, said Harris. You have to understand how he gonna get his money to have clothes to go to school? You have to look at it from his point-of-view.
If this is the sentiment, its time to buy more ammo.
Epic.
You can always assume that anyone breaking into a house is willing to kill the occupants to avoid being caught. The home owner thinks the same way.
You're kind of a "glass is half-full" person, ain't ya?

Contrary to some people's beliefs, no person of good conscience takes another person's life lightly.
Do you ever watch Judge Judy? All those scumbags are going to school and not working. Some of them are 30 years old, going to school, taking 1 class per semester, and not working. Oh, they usually have 6 kids by 6 different people, too.
There's a lot of money floating around for urban at-risk kids to go to such schools. One of the tricks is to get classified with some sort of disability. Then that money is free.
Some kids take advantage of the programs, and learn a trade. Others just use the stipends as fun money, and never attend a single class.
Side point one: Informal classes are actually held in private homes (by hustlers) that teach the kids how to "fail" a mental test. Presto! You're disabled. Free money!
Side point two: All of this is race-neutral. Somre of the biggest bums on these programs are white.
Apparently there needs to be a major education drive to teach idiots that:
1) If you attack someone, invade their home, try to steal their cars, rob their stores, assault police officers, etc., you be likely to end up daid.
2) Such an outcome is legally and morally appropriate.
Hurray for the victim for successfully defending herself.
It was a teenager who raped and killed a pastor’s pregnant wife in Indianapolis.
There are far too many teenagers who break into houses, and rape, beat or kill people they find there, either because it’s all to the good for them, or they think it’s the best way to avoid arrest.
Unless he flings himself on the ground or runs away at first encounter, any teen-aged housebreaker is a fair target.
Life is hard. It’s harder when you are stupid.

Hard to squeeze out any empathy. I do feel sorry for the woman that has to go through life knowing she killed this idiot. I also feel sorry for the sister losing her brother. That’s tough, but people make life choices. Shouldn’t and wouldn’t have happened if he had not broken into the house.
Who could blame a woman for shooting an intruder instead of asking questions.
I think that way.
There’s a sign on the front of the house that says “Nothing Here Is Worth Dying For”.
When I first read this I thought it was a joke. I can't believe the woman on the video really said this. Isn't burglary still illegal in all 57 states?
This statement and the guy's name, "Trevon", had me convinced this was some kind of satire. I think I need to check my meds.
The homeowner is black.
