The thing about elitist American twits is they try to speak like an upper-class English twit, and wind up botching the whole thing, and pronounce words that even the English don’t pronounce that way.
I think Americans are pronouncing it that way now because their educations have gotten so poor in so many ways...They aren’t well-read anymore, and they don’t know how to read dictionaries.

Thing is even on the BBC they say it my way. There are quite a few words we pronounce differently but divisive isn’t one of them
