The silent majority is mad as hell

Violence broke out over the weekend at several Donald Trump campaign rallies. Leftwing thugs battled with police in Chicago and St. Louis.

One unhinged lunatic tried to storm the stage at a rally in Dayton, Ohio. He was stopped by Secret Service agents. Heaven only knows what he would’ve done had he gotten a hold of Mr. Trump.

To be clear – what happened over the weekend was not just an attack on Mr. Trump. It was an attack on the First Amendment.

But instead of condemning the professional hooligans -- the political chattering class condemned Mr. Trump.

A despondent Senator Marco Rubio went so far as to liken Mr. Trump to a third world strong man.

He’s come under fierce attack for suggesting that his supporters physically manhandle protesters. In February he told an audience that he wanted to punch one of the protesters in the face.

That sort of language has no place in any political campaign.

But that’s not what brought about the weekend violence.

The person responsible for fomenting political unrest and creating this toxic environment is not Donald Trump -- it's President Obama.

I've never encountered so many rude people on FR seduced by their rabid and justifiable anger at seven years of Commissar Obama into a strange and ill advised path that bears scant resemblance to traditional principled small government free market conservatism and constitutionalism.

Obama created this, and he's never created anything that came to any good. Sometimes it looks closer to having a temper tantrum than governing a republic.

I think there is nothing particularly elitist or better than thou-ish to be taken somewhat taken aback by the behavior of some people here that gives it a feeling of a kind of political "lord of the flies." It's crass, base, demeaning and disrespectful. To post an article that is informative but is counter-doctrinarian and which challenges Trump Gruppendenken (Group-Think) in a not particularly uncalled-for way, and being told to "F-off". I'm sure you do not find the subtle yet growing pack of jackals-mentality to be in the good spirit of traditional FR.

I'll be one of many here in late November to help pick up the pieces from the train wreck.

The globalist Uniparty has told itself that anyone against globalism and anyone against open borders is an extremist racist. This is their excuse for hating on GOP voters who are against globalism and against open borders.

Maybe that works in Europe where the elite can criminalize speech and thought they hate, but not so much here.
