“Kasish doesn’t have a prayer!”

Hard for me to say. He did get elected governor, and could be considered a favorite son. I sure hope he loses, but it might be a close deal.

He’s a popular guy in Ohio.
Ohio is always a swing state between Dems and Republicans.
He does a good job of bridging the gap.

There are different dynamics.

Ohio has been trending blue which is why a “Conservative” like Kasich was elected Governor.

Kasich has favorable poll numbers in his home state.

I believe the Ohio Republican Party endorsed Kasich.

Close elections generally come down to turn out. If Trump supporters are the more motivated, Trump will win.

But, if by some stretch of the imagination, Kasich got the nomination, Ohio would need a new Governor.
