Guess it is official, Rush is part of the Ruling Elite. Sad to watch someone self destruct over a candidate.
Next time he criticizes Repubs for backing down he may want to look in the mirror.

He always was part of the party elite, but always clearly from the conservative wing of the party. He would stay out of primaries and then go all in on the general election for the Republican, no matter who it was, GHW Bush, Dole, McCain, you name it. There was one election, I think it was 2006 after the mid-terms, he came on the air the day after and was very angry. He said that was it, he was done carrying water for the Republican party. And I took that to mean that previously, he would say things for the party that he didn't necessarily agree with, but because they had asked him to. I made a mental note of that.
Since then, it did seem that he would attempt to show where his heart was in connection with primaries. But he always went all in still once a candidate was chosen. We may have voted for McCain, but none of us here ever spent a lot of time heaping praise on him. Palin, yes. But not Juan. Rush did, though. Romney, too.
He may as well join with Hugh Hewitt on the next debate.
