Ted Cruz Eats Into Donald Trumps National Lead
By David Sherfinski - The Washington Times - Tuesday, March 8, 2016
Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump is retaining his edge in the 2016 GOP race, but his advantage has dropped from 16 points over Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas to 9 points in a new national poll.
Mr. Trump had the support of 34 percent of registered Republicans and GOP-leaning independents in the Washington Post-ABC News poll out Tuesday, followed by Mr. Cruz at 25 percent, Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida at 18 percent and Ohio Gov. John Kasich at 13 percent.
Mr. Trump also lost a head-to-head match-up to Mr. Cruz by 13 points, 54 percent to 41 percent, and trailed Mr. Rubio by 6 points, 51 percent to 45 percent.
Fifty-one percent said they would be satisfied with Mr. Trump as the GOP nominee, compared to 65 percent who said the same of Mr. Cruz, 62 percent for Mr. Rubio, and 56 percent for Mr. Kasich.

Not after the winner-take-all states and the others on Tuesday. Cruz will find himself 300 plus delegates behind Trump.
I am telling you, Hillary and Obama will sic the DOJ on Cruz plus the dozens of lawyers, judges, and activists who will game the legal system and destroy Cruz on his eligibility.
Cruz will be tied up in federal courts, while Hillary will be out on the road talking about bringing America together again or some crap.
Cruz will be knocked off-message. The base will get frustrated and stay home or write-in Trump.
Polling would indicate yes, for whatever that is worth in March. Cruz is far favorable in head to head polling for fall. I don’t by any means think polls now holds through into November, but Trump is in terrible shape for November based on current scenarios.
Personally, if he had started acting like a president in January, he’d have stronger lead in the nomination and be in a much better position for the fall. Instead he went scorched earth on every candidate, pissed off just about everyone and made no new friends in the process. I assume he gets the nomination now, and hope he can recover, but I think he either took bad advice or let his ego outweigh good decision making.
I'm weeping. While simultaneously laughing.
Obama's lawyers and judges will destroy Cruz over his eligibility. His new buddies in the GOPe will hang him out to dry.
Mr. Constitution is no match for Saul Alinsky thugs.
Just curious WHY Ted Cruz was in Chicago, conveniently not booked for a speech or anything, and available to go on camera at the scene. Wow.— Absolutely_Trump (@Patriotic_Me) March 13, 2016
When you read the part where Cruz handily beats Trump one on one, were you laughing or crying.
The thing is noob many of us cruzbots have been her a lot longer than you trumpanzee, 15 years in my case.
Be glad when Tuesday comes and the Trump voters finally slam the door in the GOP’s face.
got to admit...that snakehandler moniker is excellent!
LOL
NBC/WSJ and CBS/WP polls have gone to silly-zone.
Totally credibility-free.
Probably for not much longer, with posts like these.
Consider, when posting historic articles, adding the date of the original article at the end of the article’s title.

No, no. You forget. Cruz is the smartest guy in the room.
Those words were genius! Cruz said it was “treachery”, er,.... I mean,... TRICKERY. That’s it, trickery!
You could call it a LIE, but after all it’s Cruz, so it must have been genius. Otherwise, one would have to ask..
was he lying then, or is he lying now.
What a pony show, for the rubes.
You’ve got that straight! Sheesh.
