Video: Ted Cruz introduced at Kill the Gays Rally
Youtube ^

See the video above. This will certainly be in a Hillary attack ad if Cruz somehow becomes the nominee. He hasn't gone through 1% of the vetting Trump has with the media.

What stuff? That Cruz, during an election year, attended a mainstream homeschooling conference, that was also attended by a preacher who expressed some heated views?

There’s that word “evangelical”, which the MSM always uses in a derogatory way to refer to the folks in flyover country who take their religion seriously, and want to be left in peace to live their lives and raise their children and worship God according to the ancient traditions of their fathers. They didn’t go looking for this fight, it was brought to them. First with the legalized murder of innocents, then with the trolling mockery of the “gay” “marraige” movement. You don’t think it’s reasonable for some of those folks to get a little overheated, to say things that might anger the coastal elites and their homosexual, anti-Christian and anti-family “values”?

Seriously, that never angers YOU?

This thread is nonsense, and the Trumpists using RightWignWatch and Rachel MadCow as sources is even worse nonsense.

Disagreement between candidates does not constitute lying.

Really? You think more then 10 percent of America will be ok with this as a commercial in 50 states. It sounds like a recruiting campaign for ISIS.

You are one of the most naive posters on this forum, one who can’t see the truth when hit over the head with it. It is the Cruzbots who worship their candidate - not the other way around. How pitiful, that when you are presented with facts and truth, you turn a blind eye and start attacking Trump - who didn’t side with this Kevin Swanson. This isn’t the only thing - he also associates with Glenn Beck, and the list goes on and on. How blind can you be? Oh wait........

Really? Is that all you got? Trump uses the idnnonuffin’ lines frequently himself. Or even better, he says “I didn’t say that” even after watching the video in which he clearly does say it. He sounds like Hillary. Deny, deny, deny and my followers will follow me anywhere.

There is no panic and fury from Trump supporters. We see through your lying, cheating, canddiate, and it’s sad that you don’t. No one, and that includes the left - fears Ted Cruz because he can be bought - just ask the Bushes.

MSM must be holding this until October to destroy Cruz in the general.

and THIS folks is why the uni-party is not attacking Cruz and want him to beat Trump.

So Hillary can have her turn at the helm.

Hillary does the dirty work installing the social welfare state. The GOPe is just fine with the Dems doing that because it’s what their big donors want and the opposition party charade can continue. I always thought the uniparty was tin foil hat stuff but then look at Sea Island. GOPe leadership and rich DEMOCRATS meeting in secret.

Donald J. trump:

From the mouth of Donald Trump:

January 23 - “I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose voters.”

November 22, “Maybe he should have been roughed up . . . “

February 1 - “If you see somebody getting ready to throw a tomato, knock the crap out of them, just knock the hell out of them. I promise you, I will pay for the legal fees.”

February 23 - “I’d like to punch him in the face, I tell ya.”

“I love the old days. You know what they used to do to guys like that when they were in a place like this? They’d be carried out on a stretcher, folks.”

Now, Sen. Ted Cruz:

This is exactly what Cruz said.

“It is my hope that going forward we will have a substantive, issue-based discussion, where we can have differences about how we turn this country around, that we do so in a way that appeals to our better angels instead of our worst instincts,” Cruz continued. “That seeks to pull us together, and unite us, instead of tear us apart. You know, we’ve seen for seven years a president who often at times of crisis, has sought to divide us, sought to divide us on ethnic lines, on religious lines, on class lines. America’s better than this. We don’t have to tear each other apart.”

Asked if Trump should have gone ahead with the rally, Cruz paused for a moment, then said the decision should have been based on public safety.

“But I think a campaign bears responsibility for creating an environment when the candidate urges supporters to engage in physical violence, to punch people in the face,” said Cruz. “The predictable consequence of that is that it escalates, and today is unlikely to be the last such instance. We saw, earlier today, in St. Louis, over 30 arrested. That’s not how our politics should occur. You know, the city of Chicago in 1968 saw some ugly days, when politics descended into hatred and incivility and even violence. It is my hope that in 2016 we can appeal to our better angels, to avoid going down that road once again.” - Ted Cruz

napscoordinator: It’s guilt by association. A scoundrel’s trick and despicable whenever it is tried. This is not the first time it has been used against Cruz, and it won’t be the last. They’ve even tried tying him to his father, for crying out loud!

You can be sure that considering the shady characters associated with Trump over many years, he’ll be victimized by this sort of crap too. They’ll hang Jack Abramoff around his neck like a lead weight.

He won just one case at the SC - got that - ONE! So, that makes him presidential? Your reasoning is faulty to say the least. He’s a lawyer, for pete’s sake - but presidential material - he is not. He lacks good judgment and lies like a rug. We already have a man in office who does that - we sure don’t need another one.

We also got Palin, who saw what kind of man Cruz is after she endorsed him and got him across the finish line in Texas!

Oh my, this Kevin Swanson is advocating for killing gays - and Ted shows up with him. That gives agreement to what the man is saying. IS this how he fights the gay agenda, by killing them? You are so pitifully naive and blind it isn’t funny.

This puts me as a Joe Citizen in a precarious position. I have a Christian belief that homosexuality is a sin. I do not, however, advocate for the killing of sinners by other sinners. That’s Spanish Inquisition territory. That’s abortion bomber territory. No matter how despicable an act may be, it cannot be answered with an equally despicable act.

Christians are caught in a crossfire here. On the one hand, we want the freedom to practice and exercise our beliefs, whether in the church, in our businesses, or in our every day lives. On the other, we have those who believe that our country should adhere strictly to biblical law, which is what I’m getting from this Dominionism business. The problem with that is it may be all fine and dandy when it’s set up according to YOUR (using the rhetorical “you” here) brand of Christianity, but what happens when a Mormon wants to codify the precepts of Joseph Smith? What about the hardcore types that don’t believe in medicine?

We no more need a Christian theocracy than we need Sharia law. In either case, the risks are too high.

What we need is what our founders originally laid out. A government that respects the freedom of her citizens to practice (or not practice) their religion without fear of retribution from the state. Period. This conference in the video was supposedly about asserting our religious freedoms. Fine. Assert them. But do not, in the name of Jesus, declare either directly or indirectly that you are going to assume the role of God and call for the killing of people based on their sin.

What next? The extermination of people with long hair? Women who chose pants over dresses?

Both from dysfunctional families. Wow, nice to see your prejudice show.
Trump, OTOH, has lead a perfectly functional life. Never making a single mistake.
It’s certainly wonderful to see conservatives ‘lash out’ when their candidate is lied about.
Perhaps this country deserves Hilary. There’s plenty acting like liberals on this site.

Sounds perfectly reasonable. I’m sure you can calmly explain that to a rabid pack of homos crashing a Cruz rally. It’s going to happen. Soon. And roughly half the GOP base will NOT have your back. Cruz made his bed defacto siding with violent communists by blaming Trump and now he’s got to lay it in.
