Of course, this didn’t happen. The opposite is true, but you can be sure that would be the headline had conservative opponents of Sanders prevented his rally in suburban Chicago from taking place because of mob threats of violence. This makes Ted Cruz ‘s spineless rejoinder to the violent demonstrations in Chicago so galling to me.
Some years ago I wrote here of my contempt for conservatives who flee the forum for fear of getting their spotlessly white togas spattered with mud and blood when their colleagues are being savaged by liars and thugs. This week my White Toga award goes to Ted Cruz. As thousands of rent a mobs from Soros funded Move On, the White House approved Black Lives Matters fabulist race baiters, and Bernie Sanders fans mobbed and threatened the thousands of people who’d waited in lines for hours to attend a rally in Chicago for Donald Trump. Even Obama pal and admitted terrorist Bill Ayers, doubtless reliving his “glory days” as a Weatherman was there cheering the mayhem on:

Did Ted Cruz criticize this effort to deny thousands of people their right to free speech and assembly or the violent nature of the demonstration? No, he feebly offered up this on Fox News’s The Kelly File: "A campaign bears responsibility for creating an environment when the candidate urges supporters to engage in physical violence."
Did he seriously believe that the effort to shut down the rally was occasioned by anything but Trump’s political positions? Where was he in 1968 when the far left pulled the same kind of thug action in the same city? Did he not notice Soros’ funding of Move On and Black Lives Matter or his funding of opposition to Trump and mobilization of Latinos opposed to Trump’s immigration stance...?

But this should not be confused with the bogus notion that his comments have created an environment that has caused the left's disruptions in Chicago and elsewhere. His comments are the excuse for not the cause of the left's disruptions. The real cause, of course, is his positions, which the left hates, and which he has put forward more resoundingly than any other Republican.
The problem with Cruz's comments is that they reinforce this confusion. This is why we see his comments being trumpeted by leftist organs like the New York Times. They fully understand the usefulness of his comments to their spin against Trump and are taking full advantage.
There is zero upside for conservatives in what Cruz said. It only helps the left by reinforcing the smokescreen they are hiding behind.
So Bernie sends his goons and the writers use it to attack Cruz. Lots of so-called conservatives hate Cruz but merely dislike Bernie. Flame away Trump worshippers (as if you needed prompting).
The author attacked Cruz because Cruz blamed Trump, not Bernie.

YES! Thank goodness...for the WWW and cellphones to record more ‘under the cover’ jewels being exposed, instantly due to these two factors. They can run, but they cannot hide.
Ted Cruz is a dead bug. The little red hen just had him for a snack. These statements coming from a ?man? who has no control over his own staff who perform dirty tricks on a daily basis but seldom pay the price; and yet he stands there daring to criticize Trump for using our Constitutional rights - FREE SPEECH. TED is DEAD he shot himself in the foot with that one.
His argument is a losing one.

I don’t know about other peoples’ areas, but I hardly see any Trump signs yet, and this is post-prez-primary here in Virginia. We haven’t even conquered our own yards yet.
