LORAIN, Ohio - The landscape here looks like a wasteland. And it's about to get worse.

Two steel mills in this city, 30 miles west of Cleveland on Lake Erie, are set to close by the end of March, laying off hundreds of people in an area that has seen jobs slowly erode for more than two decades.

The final 130 workers at Republic Steel will be out of work when the plant rolls its final order of steel tubular products for oil drilling and fracking equipment in two weeks. And at U.S. Steel, the final 200 workers will also be out of jobs at the end of March [snip]...But not only is Donald Trump the only Republican candidate to open an office there, he's the only candidate in both parties to invest resources by paying staff to be here. His office opened on February 29.

Residents of Lorain reflect the profile of the Trump voter.

Trump and Sanders are saying America needs more jobs.

Jobs.

They are both right. America needs to be for American employment.

Stop sending American jobs elsewhere. For one entire generation EVERYONE has been selling out America.

why doesn’t Cruz, Rubio and Kasich resonate with the factories closing and jobs being sent abroad?

With a hundred million Americans without work, and millions more stuck in part-,time situations mostly lacking brnefits, both Ttump and Sanders have tremendous voter appeal. Not just in Ohio

You ask: “why doesn’t Cruz, Rubio and Kasich resonate with the factories closing and jobs being sent abroad?” How about asking Trump why has his clothing line made in Mexico, China and Bangladesh?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ov2S-mSzFyo

Ask him why he brings workers here, as cheap labor - more jobs replaced

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wvSMEZxVTHg

Ask why he’s bringing rich Chinese here - and guaranteeing the PERMANENT Visa?

Why not maine?

Money is money. Lets get somebody inside that knows how to get it back.

You have no candidate. You have a DC insider that wants you to go away after the election. Cruz is not there yet.

Lots of places in Ohio USED to be Steel Mill towns, they USED to be Paper Mill Towns, they USED to be Auto Towns, they USED to be Tire Mill towns.

ALL were shut down, in very large part, to ever-increasing government regulations making the operations unprofitable.

Now they only growth industries in these paces are Meth Manufacturing and the sale of Heroin.

The lucky few get local and state Government jobs, while everyone else just barely eeks out a living.

For Sanders to “resonate” in Loraine, Ohio means Loraine is full of dumbasses, void in knowledge of economics or history.

Because those jerks don't understand business and finance. Neither does Sanders; he's just a bullshit artist who could find a job himself for 40 years either. Read his bio.

Again, not one of the candidates has economic! finance, and business credentials. None could build a lemonade stand. None have signed the front of a payroll check. Trump's AP department has written hundreds of thousands of payroll checks.

He has already explained that on tv and in his books. Step one: Pay attention. Step two: Start and run your own business in a competitive market.

The EPA and labor unions have destroyed heavy industry in this country. Our coal fired electric plants are being shut down because of the EPA. Remember Obama promising this back in 2008?

Yup, NAFTA was a big culprit. Wait a few years when the results of Ted’s TPP kicks in.

It has been happening for almost 100 years now. The news media, the marxist democrats, elitists in education. I am starting to think there is no changing course.
