How is the US guv going to collect taxes without a bureaucracy to do so?
*******************************
Since I no longer have enough deductions for Schedule A, I have had to write a check to pay my due taxes.

That check is addressed to the US Treasury Dept.; not the IRS. ...So, a much simplified tax return could easily be handled by a small section of the Treas., with far less people and cost than the thousands now in the IRS.

The IRS is part of the Treasury Dept.

And Cruz is not going to get the federal income tax eliminated or even grossly simplified. All he would manage to do is add a complex and expensive but more hidden (that’s why it has been jacked up in Europe so easily once instituted) tax and associated collection bureaucracy than we have already.

Don’t let Cruz fool you.
