Ted Cruz in Cape Girardeau For Rally, Press Conference March 11th 2016,

Doors opened at 4 p.m. and the rally began a little after 5 p.m.

Hundreds of people lined up around the block just to get in, and some were turned away after they were unable to get tickets.

During a rally, Cruz stressed religious freedom, and received standing ovations for his view on repealing the new health care laws and on second amendment rights.

Those who attended the rally said these speaking events are important when it comes to choosing your candidate.

"It's nice to be able to see him in person and hear the whole thing and not someone coming in and cutting him out all the time," one attendee said. "Let him have the stage and keep talking."

"A lot of times things get swayed one way or the other, you don't get the right information," another attendee said. "So, it's better to hear what they have to say if you have a question to ask, ask."

A press conference followed the rally.

During the press conference, Cruz said layoffs at New Madrid County's Noranda aluminum plant and the Illinois budget stalemate are because of big government. He said he has a plan to bring jobs back to the U.S.

"My flat tax plan is what's called border adjustable which means all exports are tax free, all imports pay that tax," Cruz said. "What that means is we will see millions of jobs from overseas from China and Mexico, coming back to America, coming back to Missouri, coming back to Illinois. We will rebuild the American middle class that has been hammered by seven years of failed Obama and Clinton economy."

The IRS did not exist until 1913....

How do you think the Feds got their taxes before then??”

Via the Department of Treasury.

It is in his plan. Period.

Cruz plan is a national sales tax.

What difference does it make where the tax-collecting bureaucracy is in the federal government. It will still deal with enforcement. And if you think the income tax is going away just because Cruz pushes through the VAT tax that leftists love, you are deluded.

A sales tax that is applied through the value chain, as Cruz’s is, is a VAT.

Its not a VAT, although it has been mis-characterized as that.

It a flat business tax, without convoluted rebate structure that exists in Europe.

It is time to go after louis lerner and the abuses at the IRS.

He is right. It makes a huge difference. The intrusion on political groups and the IRS harassing people over deductions is big.

Cruz, from Oct. 2015:

“If you look at the Black Lives Matter movement, one of the most disturbing things is more than one of their protests have embraced rabid rhetoric, rabid anti-police language, literally suggesting and embracing and celebrating the murder of police officers,” the Texas senator said. “That is disgraceful.”

Unless they go after Ted’s political opponents, then it is his adversaries fault.

Not to be gloomy on Tax Day, but the headline from an AP story the other day caught my eye.

An Indiana man has apparently filed suit against the IRS, blaming his wife’s suicide on an IRS raid on their home in 2007. James Simon, 57, filed suit against the IRS and its agents, claiming that 10 IRS agents in bulletproof vests raided his family’s home around 7:00 am on the morning of Nov. 6, 2007. Simon was away in Ukraine at the time, but his wife Denise and their 10-year-old daughter were there. She was apparently grilled about a family trust, farm subsidies and other tax matters, causing emotional distress.

The tax defense partners ads would not be so rampant.

I guess you somehow forgot about all that nasty talk that came out of his mouth?

Nope. and not once in there did he say "Trump".

Hey kiddo, if the shoe fits, wear it.

Cruz did not blame Trump for the protests.

He commented on the coarse nature of the campaign, and how violent rhetoric begets violence.

If you recognized your boy in there, that just might be your problem.

"Now, the responsibility for that lies with protesters who took violence into their own hands...but in any campaign responsibility starts at the top.

Those three dots mean you left something out. Care to fill in the blanks?

I noticed Cruz's words were, in fact, twisted. Maybe Trump supporters can't think through a multisubject statement. I know that must be limiting. Wall...nest speech YUUGE! It's short bus politics.

“I feel like it is a DU site here.

Spot on. These people hate any person who sticks up for conservative values. “

Where did they get the idea that they can affect the outcome of this or any other election? I laugh at the way they do what they do and how to them, it looks like it’s working.

Has Cruz apologised for his defense of BLM yet?
*******************************
You and a couple of others keep referring to that, but I haven’t seen anything on various TV channels or in print to indicate he has defended BLM actions.

Trump likes the big display and turnout. It’s what entertainers do.

Cruz and other candidates have town hall meetings where the locals can participate in Q&A sessions and get something more than just rhetoric.

Ted, like his Black Power confederates, refuses to take responsibility for his actions.

Don’t fret Datura, Teddy will get his share of BLM protests.

Then you can blame whatever happens on him and feel better.

How is the US guv going to collect taxes without a bureaucracy to do so?
*******************************
Since I no longer have enough deductions for Schedule A, I have had to write a check to pay my due taxes.

That check is addressed to the US Treasury Dept.; not the IRS. ...So, a much simplified tax return could easily be handled by a small section of the Treas., with far less people and cost than the thousands now in the IRS.

So much for taxes being “voluntary”.

I am sure this is not the first couple they have done this to.
