Ted Cruz in Cape Girardeau For Rally, Press Conference March 11th 2016,

Doors opened at 4 p.m. and the rally began a little after 5 p.m.

Hundreds of people lined up around the block just to get in, and some were turned away after they were unable to get tickets.

During a rally, Cruz stressed religious freedom, and received standing ovations for his view on repealing the new health care laws and on second amendment rights.

Those who attended the rally said these speaking events are important when it comes to choosing your candidate.

"It's nice to be able to see him in person and hear the whole thing and not someone coming in and cutting him out all the time," one attendee said. "Let him have the stage and keep talking."

"A lot of times things get swayed one way or the other, you don't get the right information," another attendee said. "So, it's better to hear what they have to say if you have a question to ask, ask."

A press conference followed the rally.

During the press conference, Cruz said layoffs at New Madrid County's Noranda aluminum plant and the Illinois budget stalemate are because of big government. He said he has a plan to bring jobs back to the U.S.

"My flat tax plan is what's called border adjustable which means all exports are tax free, all imports pay that tax," Cruz said. "What that means is we will see millions of jobs from overseas from China and Mexico, coming back to America, coming back to Missouri, coming back to Illinois. We will rebuild the American middle class that has been hammered by seven years of failed Obama and Clinton economy."

Ted's a globalist and an Alinsky-ite.. He does not understand finance, trade, taxes, business, or anything outside of a court room. He and the rest of these lawyer/politicians have been parroting most of Trump's positions since last Fall.

If y'all want another slimey lawyer running the country, donate to Ted. He'll spam your inbox and robocalls you endlessly until November. In two years you'll love the after effects of TPP, more illegals and Obamatrade for the final economic destruction of America.

Ted should stick with lawyering and prosecuting illegal aliens. He’s worthless outside of a court room... Actually, he’s outright dangerous outside of a court room.

"Cruz taking the side of the Chicago anarchists"

He won't have to. It didn't happen. Cruz didn't take the anarchists/Communists/Racists side at all. He said the protesters were responsible for their own actions.

How this LIE got to be a bigger story than the actual rioting is amazing. I gotta give you trumpsters credit. You have outdone any ministry of propaganda in history.

This will go down with "I can see Alaska from my house". (Tina Fey, but credited to Sarah Palin).

It was a SS agent that messed with the woman, not Trump’s campaign manager. Regardless, when there’s a huge crowd gathering around a candidate, there’s always a risk of minor bruises, folks have been knocked unconscious from camermen’s cameras by accident. America has become a nation populated millennial, panty-waist, pussy snowflakes. Guys have been pushed and shoved around by security, what’s up with this equal rights female rights crap all of a sudden at Trump’s rally?

These people hate any person who sticks up for conservative values.

You mean like freedom of assembly and freedom of speech?

How this LIE got to be a bigger story than the actual rioting is amazing. I gotta give you trumpsters credit. You have outdone any ministry of propaganda in history.

The "lie"? You mean this...

"Now, the responsibility for that lies with protesters who took violence into their own hands...but in any campaign responsibility starts at the top. Any candidate is responsible for the culture of the campaign. And when you have a campaign that disrespects the voters, when you have a campaign that affirmatively encourages violence, when you have a campaign that’s facing allegations of physical violence against members of the press, you create an environment that only encourages this sort of nasty discord...The predictable consequence of that is that it escalates and today is unlikely to be the last such instance".

I guess you somehow forgot about all that nasty talk that came out of his mouth?

Ted Cruz can be summed up in that sentence that came out of his mouth: "Now, the responsibility for that lies with protesters who took violence into their own hands...but in any campaign responsibility starts at the top.

Uh, which is it again, Ted, who bears "responsibility"? He contradicts himself in the same sentence! Now, I've heard a few slick lawyers and politicians in my day...but to contradict yourself in the same sentence? To speak out of both sides of your mouth in the same sentence?

Now you know how this "got to be a bigger story than the actual rioting". The media ran with Ted's own words and said he blamed the Chicago incident on Trump. Did you notice how Cruz has been pushing back on that ever since to say the media twisted his words?

Uh, no, I guess I missed that as well.

He doubled down and have given them tacit approval to continuing infringing on people’s rights. Anything for this enemy of the people to try to win. Soon he’ll be endorsing assassination attempts when the BUSHIES tell him it’s the only way he can win.

No it is not. Getting rid of the IRS is the centerpiece of Cruz’s tax plan.

No, getting rid of the IRS is empty rhetoric.

Most people are not so stupid as to actually believe that is in his plan—since it isn’t.

How is the US guv going to collect taxes without a bureaucracy to do so?
