Well, I will shortly be 60. Not sure if that makes me old or young in your eyes ;)
However, I can tell you that I felt totally useless and helpless...the situation was out of my control. We could not move forward or backwards or even sideways...and I certainly was not getting out of the car.
Glad we had cell service. We called 911, and the dispatcher said there are lots of police there...and we said not where we are...there were a couple hundred invading thugs that had breached the line and marched across the property to the other side of the parking garage. Very scary...glad police came when they did.
BaMO has plenty to answer for,

It was terrifying...The only other event that I can think of that even came close was a white-out blizzard that I had to drive thru. Altho I had some control in that situation~not much...but some. I had no control with a huge mob of thugs...Thank God the police arrived when they did, or I might be typing from a hospital bed right now ;(
I like the way you think! Presumably the perps arrive after dark. Spread feces (crap) on the grass in front of the signs. Embed a set of trip wires some four feet back from the feces. When the perps fall, they'll be nose deep in it. Hear the screams and call the cops.
Mantraps and such are illegal. Now if this happened at night, and there is a castle doctrine, and you are armed to protect property, you have a better chance in criminal court, just be ready for civil court. But then these snowflakes will take you to civil court merely for you saying “boo!” to them.

Yes, it is hard to be a police officer these days, but the Chicago Police did a good job IMHO—and I am forever grateful to them....

No it wasn’t Watts Riots, but for me, a 60 year old woman with another woman in the car and no police in site, it was plenty scary!!
Oh, and I suspect if the rally had not been cancelled and violence reduced, you would have been more impressed.

I am SO THANKFUL you made it home safe and sound, I can NOT believe what this country has come to, although I believe that in the 60’s things were very much like this!!! I agree with your points about the 60s and the demonstraters of yester year being the professors today!
I think things are going to stay ugly...However, the thing that really disturbed me more than the Thugs has been the attitude of Cruz, Rubio, and Kasich! Oh and the GOPe!! Instead of decrying this violence and vitrol, they blame Trump and his supporters!!!!!!!!!

You are VERY correct about Trumps contenders, they only WISH they had the crowds Trump has!!! Unfortunately when you have these massive crowds there is very little you can do to prevent intruders from coming in!!! I believe that these disrupters are reminding people of what this country has come to and thus a YUGE plus for Trumps thoughts about EVERYTHING wrong with the nation!!! Seeing ALL of the Mexican flags flying and just the utter vitriol for the country people are EXTREMELY fed up with the PC crap!!! You don’t like our country GO HOME!!!
