Food for thought for those of us who believe anyone should be able to pack firearms anywhere and at any time.
FYI I always carry, except at the post office, the courthouse, grade/middle/high school and a couple other places. It’s the law, like it or not.
But lefties with guns? Might as well arm chimpanzees.

You probably saw the same vapid looks I did - they'd probably fumble around, drop weapons, shoot themselves, each other if the bullets ever went to flying for real.

If Trump’s brownshirts know their targets are armed, they’ll get less handsy, fast. Considering that the guys getting "handsy" with the protesters and reporters are either local law enforcement officers of Secret Service agents I'd call that bad advice. We have open carry here in New Hampshire, and sometimes there are people close to a location with Secret Service agents guarding a candidate or elected official. But in every instance everyone is very careful to ensure there isn't a problem or a mistake. And those who are carrying take the lead in ensuring that the security details are comfortable with what they are doing and where they are standing.
Risking a mistake or confusion in such a situation is idiotic.
