Republicans blame Trump for climate of violence

Republicans blamed Donald Trump for violence and escalating tension at his campaign events, driving rivals Marco Rubio and John Kasich to say they were no longer sure they could support the GOP front-runner should he become the nominee.

“We settle our differences in this country at the ballot box, not with guns or bayonets or violence,” Rubio said Saturday after a night of chaos around a Trump event in Chicago.

“You wonder if we’re headed in a different direction today where we’re no longer capable of having differences of opinion but in fact now protests become a license to take up violence and take on your opponents physically,” he said. “This is what happens when a leading presidential candidate goes around feeding into a narrative of bitterness and anger and frustration.”

Asked if he stands by his pledge to support Trump if he's the party's nominee, he said: “I don’t know."

“I already talked about the fact that I think Hillary Clinton would be terrible for this country, but the fact that you’re even asking me that question … I still at this moment intend to support the Republican nominee, but … it's getting harder every day.”

John Kasich wavered too. “It makes it extremely difficult," he told reporters in Ohio.

The violence started long LONG before Donald Trump. So we roll over and die or perhaps just beg at their feet? Violence and shutting down democratic process has long been a tool of the communist left.

Now we see the Republican establishment siding with blacklivesmatter as does Ted Bush Cruz.

Now that the media frenzy and the GOP have failed to stop Trump you should be expecting more direct violence as they get increasingly desperate.

I too, fear that is next

“We settle our differences in this country at the ballot box, not with guns or bayonets or violence,” Rubio said Saturday

Unbelievable.

“What galls me is they would never go after Hillary or Obama the way they are going after Trump and his supporters.”

That is indeed disgusting.

I just hope that Trump will win in the end with the support of real people and heads of these traitors will explode.

Yes and we should be uniting and getting reaqdy for the fight but unfortunately we have Ted "Benedict Arnold" Cruz/Bush stabbing us in the back!

Well... we don't need him but at least some of his supporters have seen his true colours so that is one good thing.

Carly Fiorina chimed in on the Today show this morning, too, with the requisite feigned indignation, and dodged the question of whether she’d follow the pledge to vote for the nominee by declaring that Trump would not be nominated.

You can bet Rush will be blaming Trump too. No one in the media is on the side of the people. No one in politics is on the side of the people.

That won’t surprise me at all. The UniParty and their libtard media allies have made common cause with the leftist/terrorist cells who are out to destroy our Nation, and exterminate We The People of the United States.

They’re in for one gigantic g*d@mnned surprise.

And all they are doing is ensuring there is more violence. Cruz, Kasich, and Rubio are despicable.

I would love for Obama to actually say this to an opponent, and actually have the opponent respond...

Go ahead little man, take the first shot.

Of course, He is all talk, no actions, cross this red line, then move the line. A coward, a fraud, and IMO not even a US citizen, nope, still a citizen of the crown, and Indonesia.

Just a punk.

Rule #10 out of Rules for Radicals...congrats...

10.”The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition.” It is this unceasing pressure that results in the reactions from the opposition that are essential for the success of the campaign.

/sarc/

But you fail on rule #2

2.“Never go outside the expertise of your people.” It results in confusion, fear and retreat. Feeling secure adds to the backbone of anyone.

Well said silverleaf

Already however, the lies and deceit has been exposed, and Trump? He has moved on, and left the dissenters wondering where he went.

Truth is, all his LIV (low information voters), and quite computer savvy, and have uncovered all the rocks, and all the players, and turned this into what it really is, and what you exposed yourself.

A con. and a bad one. Thanks for the good words.

I agree that there are groups out there organized to attack us, but it doesn’t excuse Trump’s encouragement of violence. We need to expose these groups on video and make sure the police are aware of their actions and arresting them as needed. And yes, self-defense is sometimes necessary.

Just shutting up is what the left does and is BENEATH Republicans. Or at least it used to be. When our side is wrong, we call it out. That is one of the major differences between being conservative and being a liberal.

When the protester was escorted out of the event, good for Trump and his security detail for doing the right thing. When that 78 year old hot head assaulted and battered the protester with a sucker punch, that was illegal AND TRUMP SHOULD HAVE DISTANCED HIMSELF FROM IT.

You sir are correct and dont let the Trump supporters here run you down. We can not have a civilized nation or election as long as both sides are going to allow a small group of hot heads to ignore the law.

That of course requires that you ignore the reality of assault and battery
