And nothing Cruz said was any of those things either.
Yet a lot of folks are blaming CRUZ for “aligning himself with” or “excusing” this ISIS dude.
And you don’t even see how warped the reasoning is.
Trump is responsible for saying his supporters should beat the crap out of somebody if they threw a tomato at him. He is responsible for saying he wished he could punch a protester in the face. I don’t believe, and I don’t believe any of the other candidates believe, that Trump’s words caused BLM, ISIS, etc to be violent. But there is no doubt that there is a violent atmosphere in the nation right now and each of the candidates have either helped to fuel that fire or have helped to dispel it. The ONLY candidate to apologize to anybody for anything is Cruz. He is responsible for that choice.
Donald Trump said that if he gave illegal orders to the military they WOULD obey. My sister - wife of retired Navy pilot who is now in the National Reserve, mother of a USMC officer, and aunt (like myself) to 3 other Marines - had one question for Trump: “Or what? They will obey illegal orders from you, or what?”
She perceived that as a very thinly-veiled threat to those who would actually honor their oath to the Constitution rather than to be the lackey who does illegal acts in obedience to a threatening man. He was most likely just trying to sound tough, and he did later say that if waterboarding is illegal he wouldn’t order it, but that willingness to make threats to those who won’t break the law out of loyalty to him .... is scary.
You are on a Cruz on the river Denial.
