Marco Rubio on Saturday hedged on whether he would support Donald Trump as the Republican nominee for president.

Addressing reporters ahead of a rally in Largo, Florida, one day after a Trump rally in Chicago was canceled amid clashes between his supporters and protesters, and as Trump cancelled an event scheduled for Ohio on Sunday, the senator offered a blistering critique of frontrunner’s incitement of violence at his events .

Remember the pledge to support the Republican nominee. Remember how it was aimed at Trump and how all the other candidates pledged to support whoever the Republican Party nominee was. Remember how last Thursday night on national TV Rubio, Cruz and Kasich swore to support the nominee.

Well, just a few days later Rubio has said he won't support Trump if he is the nominee. Rubio says because organized protesters have been disrupting Trump events and committing and provoking violence that Rubio will not support Trump.

I don't think any of the Republican establishment will support Trump if he is the nominee. Neil Bush, Cruz's Finance Chairman has also said he will not support Trump if he is the nominee.

I think last night maybe just sealed the nominations for Trump.

It is a Wellstone Memorial type moment.

Voters are not going to be impressed Cruz/Kaisch/Rubio rushed right out to side with the rioters.

FYI

the Ohio rally was not canceled. A protester tried to stage rush. Sec Service took him out.

Hedges?

Like the hedges Rubio was hiding in when arrested at the park?

Cruz seems to be in the same boat. Now that the left is PHYSICALLY ATTACKING TRUMP, it’s time for the Republicans to dump Trump and find someone that the left can approve of.

Not good.

So Rubio bases whether he can support a candidate based on the level of the opposition of radicals to that candidate? This epitomizes the limp wristed GOPe; the same ones who will gladly go on funding Planned Parenthood and their baby organ harvesting, as long as it avoids a government shutdown, where 87% of the government continues to operate.

Good idea Marco. Blame the “chaos” and “anarchy” from Bernie’s Nazi DemocRATS on Trump. Use your brain much?

I don’t get this at all. Because moveon.org and Black Lives Matter goons and other assorted leftist goons pick fights, Rubio would not support Trump????

So Rubio in effect, will give leftists veto power over who the Republican party is allowed to nominate for president???

Can someone explain the logic here?? Does this make any sense???? Leftists have certain hatred for a particular candidate, so members of that party will say they won’t support the candidate because leftists are ticked off???

What am I missing???

Mr. Rubio....Either you’re for the American people or you’re not. It’s “We, the People”....not “We, the Party”...

Cincinnati. Couldn’t get sufficient security for the original venue on 5th street downtown so they’ve moved it way north to a location about 20 miles out of the city.

Rubio folding AHEAD of the Florida primary all but assures a gentle glide path for The Donald from here to the convention, and if Kasich does manage to pull out a plurality over The Donald in Ohio, it would not make a significant difference. Kasich will be Postmaster General, or “Governor of the USPS”, as the job has been retitled, an honorable post, held by some of the most illustrious men who ever served in the Federal Government. (OK, about the only one who actually fits this profile was Ben Franklin, but what the heck, he was illustrious enough for all the rest of them.)

Remember - the alternative, at this point, is Herself. If that prospect does not bring people bolt upright in the middle of the night screaming, not much will.

If little Marco gets his way and our borders are destroyed, he’ll see chaos and anarchy so bad it will make his head spin.

I am not a big fam of Trump, but inferring that he is to blame for the liberal thugs who are protesting and on the verge of rioting is ridiculous.

Pandering to bratty behavior on the part of Bernie Sanders’s supporters is not a winning strategy.

I am in agreement with the above poster who said it may, in fact, help Trump. I am old enough to remember the riots in the late 1960’s which aided in the election of Richard Nixon over Hubert Humphrey. The body politic was so tired of angry, infantile college kids who were high on dope, that Humphrey lost the election.

As much as I have reprimanded Trump for his rhetoric which is often immature IMHO, he cannot be blamed for any violence that happens.
