Thanks, unique!
Luv.....#50!!
radu.....#100!!
I was there for a time and went to a local called Larry’s Place. Decent for a dive but you had to elevate past it.
Some good singers were there. They were just a bit to far from downtown. Larry was getting old.
Murfreesboro Rd.
LOL!
Yeah, a place out on Murfreesboro Rd. would be a little out of the way for anyone living downtown. Great for the folks who live in that area though.
There have always been a lot of cool little dives with live music and it’s a shame the city has changed so much (not necessarily for the better). I’d love to live somewhere again with a lot of live music to listen to. I do miss it a lot.
That city owns that type of nightlife.
I must get ready for some heavy work next week.
It has been a pleasure talking with you. Go #11.
RIP Keith Emerson
In the ‘80s, the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area gave it a run for the money. But where Nashville goes more for country music, those cities were more rock-oriented. LOTS of large night clubs and small dives to choose from.
It was going downhill by the time I left in late ‘93 but still has a few places going.
Nashville seems to be as strong as ever. Just way too big for my tastes. If I was young, I could probably handle it.
I only found out this afternoon so didn’t have a chance to do anything...so If you want to do the honors, as it were...Please do!
We’ve lost so much talent this year and it’s only the 3rd month!
Raleigh has been overrun by DC. I have to take care of the RTP from time to time and they are wrapped up.
Sounds lovely!
I need to go now. Running really late and tomorrow is a work day! I’d rather stay and play, but gotta get some rest. :)
Have a great weekend!
I played them. no worries.
The Nice, "America"
The Nice, Tchaikovsky: Pathetique 6, Third Movement
The Nice with the Sinfonia of London (Joseph Eger, conductor), Sibelius: Intermezzo from Karelia Suite
The Nice, "Ars Longa Vita Brevis" (live)
and YOU played them. :^)
The rebirth of YES! He had a very strong hit with them.
Feel free to play it.
The RTP was the downfall of the Triangle area. The first time I lived in Raleigh was in ‘73 for about a year and it was a really nice city. Large enough to have a lot of things to do but it still had a small-town feel in the attitudes of the people. I moved back in ‘79 and the difference was already noticeable. By the time I came back to TN in ‘93, I was more than ready to leave.
I live in Charlotte now but Raleigh is just a pain in the ass.
The people there are full of it.
Hope you have a great weekend, even if part of it is spent getting ready for next week.
Been so long since I watched NASCAR, I don’t even know who’s driving the #11 any more. LOL! In the ‘90s, I could tell you who drove which car with no problem. LOL
Indeed, RIP Keith Emerson. I’m still numbed by the news. :-(
WOOHOO LUV! Ya snuck in another one!! #150
Bummer tomorrow’s a work day. Maybe it’ll be just slow enough you’ll have time to try on some of the new baubles. :-)
I wasn’t too impressed with Charlotte the few times I went there but maybe it’s improved by now. Gotta be better than Raleigh turned out to be. If not, YIKES!
It’s Denny Hamlin. Mid-Life crisis driver out of Richmond.
The track is Phoenix. I took my 1983 Ford Futura down there in 1986 and it was covered in weeds.
Sierra Estrella Mtns is the backdrop. Yes I know it.
Luke F-16 flybys is my guess.
