Yob, his wife Erica and LIndsey Eilon were all selected to be unbound delegates to the 2016 Republican Party convention. That gives them power to vote for whoever they like on the floor.

I think the Caucuses count towards rule 40. You have to have a majority of delegates from the state. Doesn’t matter how you got the delegates.
Bummer right? I find it laughable how when anything goes against a certain candidate dirty tricks must be involved and always by Cruz, because it is inconceivable that anyone could choose someone other than Trump. Who are you guys gonna blame if Cruz is gone?
Yob for Rand...
The Cruz doesn’t need 5, he has won more than 3.
No. Yeb has no yob now
I believe that most if not all states/territories have at least 3 unpledged delegates.
LOL! Well said!
I’ve been so dismayed at the rancor. ALL of us are, or should be, on the same team! I’ve seen several olive branches extended at different times by individuals from both camps. I find that a hopeful sign. I’m also grateful for Jim Rob’s declaration that while he is a Cruzer, he has stated that if Trump gets it, he supports him.
BOTTOM LINE:
BEAT HILLARY (OR BERNIE!)
No Cruz has won a plurality of delegates in more than 3 states. But he has only won a majority (>50%) of the delegates in 3 states. (TX, ME, KS).
V.I. won’t count for anybody, unless the unbound delegates announce for a particular candidate.

There are REPUBLICANS in the Virgin Islands???? I can hardly believe it!!
That’s correct. To be eligible to be nominated at the convention, you have to win the majority of delegates of at least 8 states.
For a long time I was certain Trump was the only one that could pull that off. Now I’m only highly confident.
I was surprised when Cruz got 3. So it’s possible Cruz could get 5 more, but still unlikely. Especially with a number of states not qualifying for anyone.
I suspect a plurality, if not a majority of the Republican ‘establishment’ wants Trump to be the candidate, but there are probably major exceptions. I don’t think the RNC will be inclined to broker something against Trump, and even if they wanted to, they won’t even try. I suspect Priebus has always wanted Trump, because he’s tight with Lewandowski, but he couldn’t be seen as favoring Trump, especially with the Bush factor. Now with the Bushes out, he probably has more of a free hand. That’s just my opinion, but I think the street theater is just that: theater.
At the time, Heidi Cruz was White House representative over the Caribbean.
Lyin Ted just WISHES we weren't informed.
.
If no candidate makes the 1237 delegates by the convention, those uncommitted delegates will be pure gold.
The delegates from VI could be enough to put a candidate over the top on the first vote.
Maybe not likely, but enormously important if 1237 is not reached.
