Cruz Bypasses Trump In New Attack And Goes Straight After His Voters- Voters Who
Sen. Ted Cruz identified Wednesday what he believes is one of the main causes Donald Trump has outperformed in many of the Republican primary contests to date low-information voters who are not really engaged in the process.
Cruz, who has made a hard play for evangelical voters since launching his candidacy, has been thwarted in the south by Trump, who has carried a surprisingly large percentage of those faith voters.
If its not for evangelicals in the deep South keeping Donald Trump alive, youre on your way to becoming the nominee. Would you agree with that assessment? asked CBNs David Brody.
Donald has done well in the Southeastern states, Cruz conceded. He has had a good base of support. Weve done well as well. Weve been typically second in each of those states, and weve racked up delegates.
Listen, Donald does well with voters who have relatively low information, who are not that engaged and who are angry and they see him as an angry voice, the Texas senator added. Where we are beating him is when voters get more engaged and they get more informed. When they inform themselves, they realize his record. Hes what theyre angry at.

Show where Trump has implied that Cruz supporters are stupid or low information. It’s one thing to insult a primary rival, it another thing entirely to insult folks you are going to need if you win the nomination.
Paging Happy Rain. Where’d ya go?
Ted’s “McCain hobbit moment”.
This doesn’t negate the fact that when Trump was married to Ivana, he kept his mistress in the same hotel when they traveled for easy access.
That’s not what I meant at all.......I meant the same way they buy into trump’s vague rhetoric.......no plans.....no specifics..... It all sounds so wonderfully hopey-changey.
So you post and run and hide.

For instance.....how will he build his wall?
I’m a college graduate, Dean’s list (all at night), at a conservative University. I’m also a single mom.
Ted Cruz is a brilliant legal mind. His entire experience is in law. He is also a first term Senator. As is Rubio. As was 0bama.
Trump has built businesses. He’s had some failures. He didn’t let business failure deter him and came back to be successful beyond his dreams. He’s made payrolls, hired a ton of people over the years. Yeah, he built that.
Ted Cruz is a Christian. He tells us every day. Trump is a Christian. He speaks to Christianity being under attack. when he says, we can say Merry Christmas again, it resonates. He doesn’t have to recite chapter and verse.
Cruz appeals to conservatives. So does Trump.
Cruz can’t win crossovers. Trump can.
Cruz is a tactician. Trump is a strategic thinker.
BTTT
Then you have not been listening! Hannity, who has had Trump on several times, sat down with him for his hour long show last night, and Trump was FULL of specifics. I'll wager that you have not even given Trump a full 10 minutes of your time, let alone sat and listened, without prejudice, to a full interview with him.
Record viewership of debates doesn’t make it seem like supporters aren’t paying attention. Cruz loses a few points with me.
This doesnt negate the fact that when Trump was married to Ivana, he kept his mistress in the same hotel when they traveled for easy access.
LOL. Dems won’t be running ads about your nonsense. OTOH. Cruz/Bush/Romney are now joined at the GOP hip for 2016. Well done Team anti-Trump.
The Highlay Educated are going Trump too
BS degree in Chemistry, Former Sonar Tech in the Submarine Force and work a technical job ..Followed politics since about 14 years old....Trump supporter...Not enough???
Bump
You guys need to be accurate. Trump pointed out in SC that he won all kinds of demographics. One of these was the so called (by the exit polls) "poorly educated". He pointed out he loves them and that they supported him. They are out there, by the tens of millions. He did not thank "low-information voters."
If he did, please post the quote and source, because I've not seen it.
This may have passed you by, but they have lives too and children and jobs and they are concerned.
Ask around. I do. You will be shocked to learn how little most people know about the political candidates. It is the task of each campaign to educate people.
Yes. It has always been this way and always will be this way. They see things on facebook and believe it all.If it is the task of each campaign to educate people and Cruz is failing at doing so, he will lose. It may also be that people don't want "to be educated." Maybe they just want a candidate that will be on their side.
Well Ted, Maybe the voters are not engaged with the candy assed so called conservative party and maybe see a fighter in a guy who has accomplished allot in his life and does not have to speak politico-speak to get the message across to the public.
"We won with poorly educated. I love the poorly educated." Donald Trump in Nevada victory speech.
The difference is Cruz is hoping they are open to digesting more information.
If you're going to try and defame a man at least offer up a complete quote in context.
The following is the complete quote after Trump won when he was gushing all over his voters at a post rally. "We won the evangelicals. We won with young. We won with old. We won with highly educated. We won with poorly educated. I love the poorly educated. We're the smartest people, we're the most loyal people. You know what I really am happy about, because I've been saying it for a long time, 46 percent with the Hispanics, 46 percent, No. 1 with Hispanics. I'm really happy about that."
Then, with a wave of his hand, Trump signalled to everyone in the room - I'm assuming he included those poorly educated who were there - We're the smartest people, we're the most loyal ..."
What's more, Trump has always always said that he feels more at home with blue collar, workaday, people, like taxi drivers, construction workers. Hannity once took a stroll with him on NY city streets and it was obvious. Trump has also said he doesn't like rich people.
That’s one of the nicer things that can be said about Trump supporters.
>He could probably get construction volunteers to work for free while the Mexicans are stealing their jobs in the states.
