What I can’t understand is the refusal of the hardliners to acknowledge that anyone who is a citizen at birth meets the Framer’s definition of a natural born citizen. I used to think differently myself, but after a lot of study, it became clear to me that the Framer’s relied on Vattel, not on English common law.

Cruz inherited is US citizenship from his mother in a natural way, by family lineage and not by statute as some have argued. Argue away, but when you do, please be aware that you are arguing from a weak, un-researched, un-thought through position.

John, I know nothing of the law. But what I do know is that there has been no definitive answer to the question. Another thing I know is that judges do things for political reasons way too often.

It would be way too easy to find an agreeable judge, and all of those delegates would be up for grabs.
