Americans broadly favor Senate hearings on a U.S. Supreme Court nomination by President Obama, with nearly half of Republicans – as well as large majorities of Democrats and independents alike – pushing back against the GOP leadership on whether to consider a nominee.

Sixty-three percent overall in a new ABC News-Washington Post poll favor hearings and a vote on whether to accept Obama’s nomination of a replacement for Antonin Scalia, the high court justice who died Feb. 13. Half as many, 32 percent, say hearings should be set aside and the nomination left for Obama’s successor, the position taken by Senate Republican leaders.

Seventy-nine percent of Democrats and 62 percent of political independents favor hearings on Obama’s nominee. Republicans split on the issue, with 46 percent in favor, 49 percent opposed....

Unfortunately there is nothing in the Constitution that prevents the populace from becoming majority STUPID. And there is nothing that any law can do to prevent Revolution 2 either.

The best way to punish the media is to just tune them out and let their adverts fall on deaf ears. Eff ‘em.

Of course, if the situation were inverted, there would be no such polls conducted.

I thought the POLLS SHOWED Clinton would schlong Sanders in Michigan by 25-30% of the vote.

So NEVER make decisions based on polls.

I do not believe this poll for a minute. Furthermore, I can’t imagine that either Hillary or Sanders, or their supporters, really want Obama to appoint an S/C justice either. I am quite sure they would prefer to have the opportunity to do so themselves. Obama has appointed 2 justices, that is entirely enough for one president.

Who gives a flying f*** what this hand-picked Obama sycophantic poll says? The evil Kenyan Marxist in the Oval Office has thwarted the will of the American people over and over again for over seven years now.

Let’s just say in the tiny off chance that this poll is accurate and the low information masses don’t understand the grave implications of how nominating another radical left-wing Supreme Court justice would pave a backdoor road to communism, thereby permanently destroying this once great nation and fast tracking an erosion of our individual rights, then who gives a s**t what these idiotic rubes supposedly think?

Yet sadly, the POS GOP Establishment will see a poll like this, quake in their boots on cue, and probably feel compelled to back peddle on their tenuous position to wait until after the election to hold hearings.

I’m not a Trump supporter, but I have to agree with you on this issue. Whatever it take to get Rubio or Romney as candidates seems to be the order of the day.

Bull Shiite poll but Mitch doesn’t have the balls to bring up a candidate before the election. After if he does it he will see a blow back that will make the howls against amnesty seem tame.
