No that’s not being a kingmaker. You’re talking about a brokered convention where they go in a backroom and then come out and say something like Romney will be our nominee (even though he wasn’t running).

The rules say you need 1237 votes. If you don’t get there nobody wins the will of the voter is undetermined. But let’s entertain your theory...what happens if Trump as 1000 delegates and Cruz has 1000 delegates? everyone else is under 200 delegates. Do they both become the nominee or do the other delegates get to change their vote to the person they think their voters would most likely back? If they can’t switch their vote to break the tie then what happens?

Sea Island in Georgia used to be where the Kingmakers met. It might as well still be called Kingmaker Island. And they want a contested convention.

Those guys who flew in over 50 jets ~~ social media moguls, GOP Elites, Bill Krystol, many leftists, etc.
