The Cruz internal polls must be very bleak. That is what this seems like to me. He is very desperate to prevent form sinking the way he is.

Yeah, the trouble is, Ted isn’t saying anything new. We’ve heard all that before. He isn’t gaining any ground tonight.

Rubio has been better...but he’s just one talking point after another.

Kasich is just a loon.

Yes Cruz was just begging people to vote for him instead of talking on the subject. He knows he’s toast.

Look at analysis of Cruz support among voter categories. Only category he wins is VERY CONSERVATIVE! That is a very narrow segment. I guess only very conservative voters can ignore the unlikable personality of Ted Cruz. In my own case, there is very little I disagree with what Cruz says. I simply do not like how he says it. And yes, likability is very important in winning elections.
