We found the farmland on a river shore in Nova Scotia where their family lived for three generations prior to the expulsion of the Acadians in the 1600s. We also toured the area where they resettled and where the family was 200 years later. The other side of my wife’s family was pre-revolutionary in the US as early German immigrants.
