Grassley Slams Harry Reid's Tantrums over SCOTUS Nominee on Senate Floor
PJ Media ^ | March 8, 2016 | Liz Sheld

The Democrats have pulled out all the stops to pressure Senate Republicans to hold a vote on President Obama's eventual replacement for Justice Antonin Scalia on the Supreme Court. In particular, they are targeting Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) with vile op-eds in partisan Iowa newspapers and threatening him with a challenge in his re-election bid.

Grassley's challenger, former Lt. Governor Patty Judge, said she will focus on Grassley's refusal to cave into the Democrats' wishes hold hearings on Obama's nominee as part of her campaign.

Like I said: ALL THE STOPS.

Soon-to-be-retired Minority Leader and Chief Obstructor Harry Reid (D-NV) has taken the Democrats' righteous indignation/dog and pony show theatrics to the Senate floor.

The Hill reports , "Reid has spent the last week delivering daily speeches against Grassley, accusing him of abandoning the Constitution and blindly adhering to McConnell's wishes."

Oh, the humanity!

"Now as each day passes, the senior senator from Iowa is trying desperately to justify his blind loyalty to the Republican leader and to Donald Trump," Reid said. "Senator Grassley is grasping for any rationale — anything that will excuse him for not doing his job."

(Donald Trump?!?)

To which Grassley astutely observed: "The tantrums from the other side continue. But I guess it shouldn't surprise anybody, as everyone knows around here nothing makes the minority leader more mad than when his side is forced to play by its own rules."

Indeed.

Vice President Biden had no problem waiting until after an election to replace a Supreme Court justice. Neither did Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY). Now that the balance of power has shifted, the Democrats are unhappy their own playbook is being used against them.

Is there any doubt the Democrats would be doing the same thing if the president in question was a Republican? Of course not.

Stand strong Senator Grassley! #nohearingnovote

Care to speculate/ share what Reid did to miff Grassley so badly, he (Grassley) grew a spine? At least, temporarily?

Grassley's up for reelection this year. So, he's being allowed to look like he's being tough to insure that he stays in the club for another term. This is a pattern we see over and over.

The Senate Republicans could impress us for once if they do stand strong on this. What a change that would be!

“If I ever find out the name of the person who punched Harry Reid in the face I fully intend to punish that person with a cold beer and the best steak I can grill!”

It was his alcoholic older brother! I just wish he’d hit him in the other eye, so Harry could have a white cane for the rest of his life.

The mantra until we finally get rid of the infestation in the White House should be:

“Biden Rule, Biden Rule”

“Biden Rule, Biden Rule”.

“Biden Rule, Biden Rule”.

“Biden Rule, Biden Rule”.

“Biden Rule, Biden Rule”.

“It was his alcoholic older brother!”

Myself I suspect it’s Harry’s gay lover.

I thought all of the Republican Senators were nothing more than a bunch of GOP-E RINO's, no better than the Democrat's who would replace them.

Isn't that what "the Revolution" has been telling us?

Grassley should suggest that Reid be more vehement in his speeches, “Or your pimp will beat you up again.”

That is the amazing thing about Trump, he takes nothing from those frauds. He blasts with both barrels, and not through the bedroom door like moron Biden suggests, but at the opponent’s head!

Best way to kill Zombies!

Chin up. Things are rarely as bad as we think them to be. Have faith things will be as they are supposed to be. Expect the best, but prepare for the worst.
