David Limbaugh is a lawyer. Although there are good lawyers, I tend to look at most of them as slimeballs, esp. those involved in the political arena. They don't defend the law, they use it to enhance their own position.

No question you are right on target. In addition his lawyer talk show host Mark Levin is also a huge Cruz fan. So Rush is caught in a vice all the time.
I think recently he has been handling things as well as possibly could be expected.
