Harvard has BILLIONS of dollars in endowments. If it wanted to, it could foot the entire bill for it’s entire enrollment. They choose, however, to remain one of the most expensive educations in the country.
If I was a descendant of the Royall family, I would demand my donation (land) back, and also demand back payment of rent on the land, plus interest.
The sterilization of history continues.
I wonder, do they teach the Constitution at Harvard Law? Wasn’t that written by white slave holders? How does Harvard reconcile this?
Yep, I see the racism in that. After all it had to be blacks that made them hay bundles. Clearly racist. /sarcasm
That is racist? Harvard has fallen a lot further than I thought it did.
Nonsense.
Socialism is Slavery to the State.
Harvard is a hotbed of socialist bastards.
This is just another step to destroy America and the Constitution.
A “bold stand?” Against something that ended in this country more than 150 years ago?
Some “boldness” there, Harvard.
The Hammer and Sickle would be the logical replacement.
It may be the Latin inscription. Slaves with names like Cato and Virgil etc. We all know slaves were taught Latin as a matter of course.
We’re all slaves now to a $20 trillion debt .... well at least those paying taxes.
The point of Harvard, and the Ivy League in general, is not to provide an education.
Its point is to provide an introduction into our new ruling class; anyone who can’t afford the quarter-million dollar entry fee doesn’t deserve to be a member.
Keep that in mind whenever you encounter someone with an Ivy League degree.
I agree. But they do it under the auspices of an education par excellence. The whole thing is total bullshit in my opinion. It is nothing more than a gilded brainwashing camp.
Well, those are actually “stooks” of grain before threshing.
Harvard should just disband. They have forfeited any pretence of an objective search for knowledge. It’s pure indoctrination.
Must be the ebonics on the top.
They need to give back the land and all money and donations to the surviving family members if they remove this.
The FIRST thing Elena Kagan did as new Dean of Harvard Law School was to ELIMINATE the requirement that all students take a course in US Constitutional Law.
The SECOND thing Kagan did was to add the requirement that all students were to take the Course in International Law.
