They are used to it. They look like complete idiots every day of the week.
That's not just an easy, snide shot at what passes for modern liberalism. It is the truth. Modern liberalism is based on so many contradictions, so much hypocrisy, and just plain downright history and common-sense ignoring fantasy that liberals end up looking like idiots every single day.
In that light, once you give up all shame and reason, backing criminals and espousing nonsensical agenda talking points becomes easy. I believe that is why the left so often resorts to ad-hominem attacks on us and spews forth such vitriol at the slightest provocation. It is because we base our arguments and observations on logic, reason, facts, and common sense. When engaged in any form of debate with us, liberals are forced to confront their own failings and weaknesses. No one likes to do that. They don't just see that we are right and they are wrong, they see how utterly stupid and manipulated they have become. That is downright personal and painful, hence they lash out. In many ways I pity them. But they are still wrong and dangerous.
When cornered with the truth and enraged, liberals engage in what I call “poop throwing”.
I thought about this too when I was watching the oscars...when I saw that stage full of victims.
Why did the hollywood producer of the oscars -not include this victim..on stage!!!

but other than the chuckling and trivializing about it,
that’s what lawyers are supposed to do. The real problem in
this case is the incompetency of law enforcement that she
took advantage of.

My thoughts on this point are that I wanted this on the internet quickly. So that perhaps the Trump campaign would spot this here at FR and at his next rally- 'knock it out of the park' - by mentioning this horrendous Hillary case and thereby garnering even more votes and wins in the rest of the coming states that will be voting. But especially before before the Republican convention!
And last but not least, to immediately show world wide (internet) support for this 52 year old victim!!

Her attitude aside, and I am not defending either HRC or the rapist, every defendant is accorded an aggressive defense.
Defending people who are guilty happens every day, in every court in America.
My niece is a public defender. I tell that she must feel like a Cubs fan at the beginning of every season. She is a contender until the games start.
Then she lectures me on her role to provide an aggressive defense.
Classic blame the victim.
