Sanders takes two of three primaries but Hillary wins more delegates [Go Figure]

Bernie Sanders won the caucus states of Kansas and Nebraska on Saturday, but with a big win in the Louisiana primary, Hillary Clinton took home more delegates.

ABC News:

With 100 percent of precincts reporting, Sanders won 68 percent of the vote compared to 32 percent for Clinton. Delegates are allocated proportionally and there is a 15% threshold so both candidates will get delegates.

"The biggest states are yet to come. New York State, California, Oregon, Washington State. States that we think we can do very well in. Every state is important," Sanders said at a campaign event in Michigan on Saturday night. "Michigan is important. We’re going to win some, we’re going to lose some. But, I think basically that we have a path towards victory. I’m very proud, not only that we seem to be winning these states, but winning them with pretty big numbers.”

Speaking Saturday night in Detroit, Michigan, Clinton congratulated Sanders for “running a strong campaign.”

“I am thrilled we are adding to our pledged delegate count. I am grateful to everyone who turned out to support us,” she said. “But now all eyes turn to Michigan. And I can tell you this we’re going to work for every vote.”

Clinton also criticized Republicans and said our politics has been “hijacked” by “extreme ideologues all across the country.”

For the day, Clinton won 55 delegates to 47 for Bernie Sanders.

No wonder the MSM is so confused and thinks a 3rd place finish for Rubio is the new first place.

Sanders’ primary voters are not going to be enthusiastic Hillary general election voters.

Louisiana larger state population, other two states much less DEM state wide . Do delegate apportionment math.

Okay, 2 states slightly more Louisiana, but more Democrats elected results in bonus delegates.

Don’t forget the Democrat SUPERDELEGATE factor.

A Superdelegate is a person who is a delegate to the national nominating convention but who is not “bound” to a candidate, meaning they may vote for anyone they wish, regardless of the outcome of the popular vote in the states they represent.

There are 712 superdelegates involved in the 2016 nomination process.

In the Democratic party, superdelegates are made up of two groups — prominent current or formerly-elected Democrats (presidents, governors and all the current Democratic members of the House and Senate) and members of the Democratic National Committee.

This is Democrat math, like taking all the money two people with $1 million each have, to pay off $5 million in government expenses.

My apology, if I could delete what I posted I would. Confused the convoluted GOP allocation rules with DEM rules
. Plus each state has different primary rules :)

But HRC isn’t winning NE or KS ever.

If it were not for super delegates, it would be a tight race.

Ohhhhh that Hillary.

She’s a little stinker.

She has Qadaffi sodomized with a bayonet and steals all of Libya’s wealth.

Tee hee hee!

It has to do with the size of the population of each state as well as how close the race was. And given that the combined population of Kansas and Maine (4.23 million in 2014) is less than Louisiana (4.65 million in 2014) and that she also won by a bigger margin in Louisiana than Sander did in Kansas (and the race was close in Nebraska ), it ended with her getting six more delegates (55 vs 49).

I wonder if Hillary’s own primary election voters are even going to be enthusiastic general election voters?

I am waiting for Michigan. I think it could tell us a whole lot about the general election.

If Trump's claims about being able to attract blue collar Democrats in the Rust Belt are true, it might show up in Michigan.

So, if those presumably Hillary voters cross to vote Trump in a Republican primary, all hell is going to break loose.

On both sides.
