A House committee rejected a measure Wednesday to require Coloradans to show a picture identification card if they are registering to vote immediately before an election.
Rep. Don Coram, R-Montrose, who introduced HB1111, said it makes sense to require photo IDs to guard against anyone from fraudulently casting a ballot, especially that close to an election.

The bill, which the House State, Veterans & Military Affairs Committee killed on a party-line 5-4 vote, would have sent the idea to voters in November.
Supporters said the state should do everything it can to ensure election integrity, even if there is no evidence of any actual voter fraud.
Secretary of State Wayne Williams told the committee that oftentimes when his office or county clerks try to mail elections materials to people who registered to vote within the final weeks before an election, those materials are returned because the addresses are invalid.
There were 8,458 people who registered and voted on the same day in 2014, Williams said. Thats the only group of people this bill deals with.

Richard Harding .. doesnt understand why people are allowed to vote without having to prove who they are, saying they easily could manipulate the outcome of an election.
I really am appalled that this has existed, he said. There is no transaction that an individual can participate in this state, they cant cash a check, they cant drive a vehicle, name me one other thing in this state that a person can do without a photo ID.

This makes illegal voting easy.
Hillary just double clutched into second gear with this one.
More evidence that Colorado has been tipped beyond redemption.
Same rules for buying a gun?
Why not?
“...killed on a party-line 5-4 vote...”
Now how did I predict this??? Gotta get those Unregistered, undocumented DemocRats to cast ballots...you vote them in, this is what you get!!!
Because the Libs have been aborting their kids for over 40 years they need voter fraud to maintain control.
Check to see if their municipal bus passes have photo id....the Libs do this because they don’t want any “BUS RIDING CHEATERS”!!!!!!and, aren’t these folks who depend on public transportation the same ones that they are claiming to protect w/ voter ID laws?
My guess is 80% of those 8,458 people voted Bolshie and 90% of those cannot be found today.
Hello, I am Jose Jimenez and I’m here to vote.

...but surely there cannot be any vote fraud going on.
Corruption in government from deecee to state, city and county.
Rotten to the core.
Hope someone posts the vote list. Phone calls to make...
8,458 people who registered and voted on the same day in 2014,
That all? Just in Portland Maine we can 4,000 to 5,000 register on election day. And Portland is only 5% of the state’s population.
Granted Maine has very high voter turnout for elections.
