I think Ted’s only hope is to become the establishment candidate and he knows it. Not a matter of what he wants to do or what audience he would prefer, has to follow the money.

have that book and he is my favorite general
Fighting three armies in the valley and keeping them at bay. Marching over 20 miles a day and then fight , then again the next day.

“You may be what ever you resolve to be”

Favorite film too.

Hopefully he’s confident enough to not explode, but be presidential in shooting down the #neverTrump crowd. I saw he tweeted something earlier. But he really just let that sit out there.

My days of doing a damned thing for the GOP are OVER.

Ted will get stabbed in the back as soon as the establishment does not need him. He is being used as a pawn.

His campaign is so desperate to take Trump out that they are not seeing the bigger picture.

Trump came across as pretty Presidential the other night.

I think he knows that this thing is his to lose.
Will drive ‘em even more nuts!

Yah I saw that it was great. His tone today is like "Poor Mitt...kind of loser but I understand what he's up against".

We did not LOSE $500 billion to China!!!

Did I lose $100 when I bought my groceries the other day? Of course not. I got goods for money. We Don’t LOSE when we pay for goods. Such stupid assertions.

And I’m a Trump supporter.

If you gave the grocery store $100 and they only bagged $50 worth of groceries, would you consider that a loss?

Excuse me. First of all nobody’s forcing me to buy those groceries. It’s up to the buyer to find the best value. If YOU say I bought $50 worth then I’m going to ask you which store has the better value. Either you’re lying or the next time I’ll go to the next store if the quality is equivalent.

There is no store that has a better deal, we’re running record deficits with every single country. Nope, you take your $50 worth of groceries and pay $100 or nothing.

Since last summer I have been a Trump supporter, with Cruz as a strong second choice. I have not joined in the Cruz/Trump flamewars which I have considered to be counterproductive. I have come to the point where I have to drop Cruz as a second choice.

The other day after the election returns Cruz was interviewed by Steponallofus and had this to say:

“If we unify, head-to-head, [i.e. Rubio, Kasich, Carson] our campaign beats Donald soundly. And for everyone concerned about the best interest of the Republican Party, if Donald is the nominee, in all likelihood, your former boss Hillary Clinton becomes the president.”

http://www.newsbusters.org/blogs/nb/scott-whitlock/2016/03/02/ted-cruz-mocks-stephanopoulos-hillary-your-former-boss

What jumped out at me was “the best interest of the Republican Party.” Five or six years ago this probably would have slipped past my notice. I had not yet come fully to terms with how out of touch the party bosses were. Now that phrase jumps out at me. Cruz needed to know exactly what he meant there. The interests of The Party come before the interests of the people.

I will not completely write off Cruz forever and ever, but he needs to get back to the senate. Do his job there for a respectable period. Maybe someday there will be an appropriate role for him outside his senate seat.

Taxing companies to stay here done’t solve the problem.

Everybody loses and the consumer now has to pay higher prices because the government has put a 35% tax on incoming good.

Trump’s ideas here are BAD, and I’m a Trump supporter.

I hope he learns the ROOT CAUSES of losing our businesses: the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT is the root cause

- minimum wage

- taxes

- regulations

- federal protection of unions

Get rid of all of that crap. Protectionism NEVER works. Get the feds out of the way and American business will once again be competitive and with top quality.

What Trump is proposing is exactly that. Instead of me paying $100 for goods from China, I’ll be forced to pay $200 for the same thing because of these stupid taxes and protectionist measures.

Tariffs and protectionism NEVER work and absolutely fail to address the core issues of federal government interference in American business that drive up the cost of doing business so much they have to go elsewhere.

What's interesting....The debate is tonight. Rubio, Cruz and Kasich are out of public view, busy rehearsing their lines and postures for tonight.

Trump instead is at a rally in Maine.

No, Trump is proposing that we get $100 worth of groceries for $100 cash. Those of you who keep preaching that tariffs and protectionism don’t work would have us stay with China’s boot on our neck and do nothing.

Did you hear Mexico’s ex-prez Fox on Hannity last night. He sounded like GOPe lecturing us on this very thing, we don’t want to address trade, we don’t want to build a wall, etc. Not going to save our country.
